Eny--Congrats on the WL!

Crissy--Great goals!

gg--Maybe I will actually participate like I said I would in the numbers challenge. ! I'm doing extremely well on the water front right now. So my goal this week will be to do my 10K training three times this week. Start small right?

Hello everyone!

Newbie here ... mind if I join you? I really need to challenge myself to keep the motivation going. I struggle with losing weight, so maybe this will help keep me on track.

My goal for August is:
- 5 pound loss (more would be nice!)
- walk 30 min every day
- stay on plan no less than 24 out of 28 days (all 28 days would be ideal, we'll see how it goes)

I'll try to check in every day to report progress and say "Hello."

Nice meeting everyone.

cj and Inspired.

i am off to a rough start already but i know that i can make it up today is only the 4th. i am starting to panick over getting a x-mas gift done in time. and am focusing most of my time in trying to get that done. and not on some of the other things that i should be doning.any way i know that i still have to make the time to do what i want too in order to stay on track.

Welcome CJ & Inspired!!

I just love reading everybody's goals.

I cleaned carpets all day today. WHEW! I love it when they're finished. Bought some paint to do the vanity in the boys' bathroom. Going to paint it crisp white. Then I need to touch up a bunch of trim and the cabinets in my kitchen.

Hope everybody is doing well!!

My favorite evening snack when I have a sweet tooth is the Healthy Choice Premium Fudge Bars. Only one point. Yummy!

Hello fellow newbies! I am finding this place very welcoming and I'm sure you will, too.

inspired: those are very reasonable goals, and I'm sure that you will make them! Good luck!

mrsaugie: a xmas gift already? That must be some gift you are working on!

Hello everyone else. Okay, so I've been on SBD since last Monday. I'm very happy on it (except for all those eggs!). But, this is weird, I'm having trouble eating ENOUGH food! It's a good problem, but it is a problem. Today, even after eating a handful of walnuts, I still only had 1100 cals. I am getting most of my recipes from the SBD cookbooks because I am afraid that if I use my own, I will not be OP. Maybe this MARGARITA I am having right now will help me get up to my goal calorie range (1700).

Have a good night everyone!

Inspired- Welcome! Glad you're here!

Trooworld- I have a friend who works for the smoking quitline in Colorado, and they recently started a weightloss line through the same hospital. His big thing is "We eat everyday, it shouldn't be a surprise!" Duh- I hadn't ever looked at it that way until he said it...

Eny- Way to go on the the loss! You are rockin' sister!

gg- you're working so hard on your home- that definitely counts for something... I lost 4 lbs the last time I cleaned like that. When do your kiddos come home?

Shay- I shared your running plan with one of my kids yesterday. She and I are going to start running after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when school starts.
Get this: Her pediatrician suggested she get gastric bypass. The kid is 16!!! And her mother AGREES!!! I cringed when I heard that. It just seems so extreme. I'd give up Starbucks forever if it meant they didn't take that route. I just feel like we are teaching kids at younger and younger ages to be extreme about their weight. They can buy a gallon of soda at a fast food place, and then they can be cut open to get rid of the excess weight that comes with it...

Well, teacher meetings start today... I bought a happy bunny folder that shows that bunny sticking his tongue out. He says "I'm more mature than you are, nah nah nah nah nah nah!" I figure that should get me through it...
