Auddie i have that problem too....wish i could just NOT overeat at dinner or when i am upset. I stayed in and ate instead of sleeping in my car. this morning i avoided a nap by chugging some water...thought it would help...eventually it did :) lunch was not so healthy though, and DH wants to BBQ tonight. That's ok....small portions I can live with, big veggies too, and plenty for tomorrow.

Hidy Ho girlies! I got to the gym this morning and did a personal best on my 5K 38:05! that is down a full minute from Tuesday!!! :carrot: Maybe I will see a 10 minute mile in my future :) :) :) Then I got home andwhat do you know work called and needed me ASAP. not on my normal line but on the Jelly sauce line :) so I worked from 8-2 today and I have to go in at 6 tomorrow, I think I will have to run after work tomorrow. only a quick 30 minutes though I should have my neices tomorrow night.
Lili, The most I have run is 4.75 miles in 65 minutes. (all the treadmill allows). that day I spent all my energy running and wasn't able to recoup so I decided to stick to running 5K for my general workout and push myself once a month to see how far I can go. After I got off work <lowering my head> Dh wanted to meet me for a late lunch I went to a mexican restraunt and enjoyed my meal, and yes it was good. Ofcourse my stomache is killing me now, I havent eaten that much at a time in months. Dinner tonight will be a lovely green salad (if I need to eat anything). (Im glad all I had was a lite and fit yogurt and a small salad while at work) I gotta run I will try to get to more personals after dinner tonight. Oh yeah I wanted to tell you guys something. Today I got SO many comments about my weight. Some of the people I saw today haven't seen me in months and they were all great, telling me how great I look, calling me beautiful. Its nice to hear, but I feel really weird about it. So then the questions come: how much did you lose? how did you do it? how long has it taken? Your still trying to lose? Any way Most of the questions I don't mind answering I don't even mind telling people how much I have lost, but really I lost most of it before they even met me. So I tell them I have lost a few pounds and they push so I tell them "42 in the past 2 years" Then They cant believe I am still trying to lose. What do I tell people when they tell me I am going to be "too skinny" if I lose any more? |
So weigh-in today was okay. I was 211.8 (even though i saw 211.2 for a second). That is a 1.6 pound loss for the week. I have to be happy with that. I walk/jogged tonight 2 miles and actually jogged most of it. I'm getting better at this. I'm joining the world of the runners.
Lili- i did one official 5k this summer. It was kind of fun but I did it by myself. It would be fun to do it with a friend. On the weekends I try to do 5K. Good for you on your accomplishments. Luna- The play was good, The costumes were amazing. It was at the outdoor theatre, which is kind of fun. Both of my children are theatre majors. My daughter is finishing in a week with a BFA in Musical theatre. My son goes to community college right now and is getting an associates in theatre. Yep, my life is the theatre and craziness. Our house is a hoot. My scale drives me crazy. There are days when I get on it too many times to count. I need to stop, but it's become compulsive..Good job on your loss. Aud- It is great to see you so motivated. You are going strong, keep it up. I hope for great things coming your way. Holyt- Food just gets boring these days. It's just something I need to do everyday. Jeni- Awesome job on the running. I know what you mean about the comments. Sometimes it is a bit overwhelming. Nice, but sometimes i get self-conscious. Just tell them a few more pounds, for some cushion. Today I went shopping. I told myself not until I reach 200, but Christopher Banks was having a 40% off sale. I got some nice things, mainly for when school starts. I even got some styles I've never really had before. I even bought a pair of inspiration jeans. I got them on, but a bit tight. My goal is for them to fit comfortably by school time. Tom. will be busy since my daughter is home for the weekend. We are going to the fair to see my neice show horses and then my son's show. Hopefully I'll drop in tom. |
I managed to get home and get hubby up and out the door and to the gym by 7am. I always run my best after a long night at work, why? I have no idea but I always feel energized to run in the morning. This morning I ran 4 miles, it felt awesome, so good to just get away from everthing for a half hour. Hubby walked beside me while I ran, he managed 1.5 miles in 30 minutes, which is amazing as he is only 9 weeks post op of his bilateral hip replacementt surgeries. He is my inspiration, I am so proud of all he can do and does, now if he could only tie his own shoes.(4 weeks then he can bend down and tie them, I'm counting the days, hee hee)
mtiger: I used to run 5K's with my husband (he always finished before me) Now I run alone but the people you meet are wonderful. We ran a race in Oct. 2007 and met 2 women and ran with them, then we met up with them again for four other races, I hope to see them this year at the Doug Flutie 5K, fingers crossed. jcatron243: what a great time for 4+ miles, way to go!!! Keep doing what works for you, and the challenge once a month is a nice surprise to where you can push yourself. aud: The running is a promise I made to myself, If I can't keep a promise to myself then I can't keep one to others. I run everyday after work, (6:30am) I schedule the time as a health check up on my calander so I can't skip it. lunabella: NO POPCORN! it was tough but I did it. The movie was surprisingly very good. Hubby dragged me there, but after I saw Christian Bale I was hooked..nice on the eyes. Have fun in PA, remember to get in a few walks while enjoying all that good homecooking. |
Morning. Called in sick to work (I realized that DH was on call this weekend and our normal babysitter aka nana is in baltimore and NO backups. so I am a bit out of luck. Oh well.
I slept long, DH and I have to set up our schedule for going to the gym. I saw 151 on the scale today! lets hope it stays! |
I managed to run 4 more miles this morning!!!!
My goal is to run 30 miles next week, hoping this will jumpstart the weightloss. |

Well I slept ALL day Saturday, I guess my body saw an opp. to get some rest and seized it! LOL I did a good thing today: talked myself out of getting Pizza Hut then did the same thing when I walked to Valero to get something to eat. Hope I can keep it up! |
I can't believe I've missed a whole WEEK of WEED! I have a LOT of catchin up to do! Vacation was FABULOUS. We went to Wildwood, NJ last week, Sunday through Wednesday. The forecasts were so bleak, lots of rain, storms, but guess what? It was SUNNY, HOT, gorgeous, the whole time we were there. We had originally planned to spend Wednesday at an amusement park on our way home, but we spent so much money on the shore that we decided not to. Plus there were tons of rides on the boardwalk so the kids still got to ride.
I tell ya, if only I had eaten right, I would have LOST weight. I came home and weighed EXACTLY what I weighed before. But you really are ACTIVE on vacay, lots of walking. Walking in the sand on the beach is HARD. Walking in the ocean against the currents/waves is HARD. We even visited a restored lighthouse and climbed over 200 stairs. I'm still hurtin from that one! But too bad the food was so good. I bet I had three cheesesteaks the whole time I was there. But I didn't really go overboard in the big picture, I've been known to KILL some food on vacation. I even got a bit of a tan! Which is sayin something, I'm completely pale the rest of the time. Then Mike's company picnic was at the Cleveland zoo yesterday. So again, didn't eat great, but walked ALOT. I finally know what Valero is, there are a ton of them on the turnpike! I thought of you Shari! Oh yes, and we are trying to start a Saturday morning walking club. We'd done it last year. Each week we meet at 8 am to walk, and we pick a different park each time. So we get to see lots of nice parks plus we get to walk and chit chat with our friends. Last week, only myself and one other girl showed up (and I walked even though I had just gotten off a 12 hr night shift!) and this week, I was the ONLY one there! But I did it anyways. I walked 3 miles in one hour. For me, pretty good! The track was a mile long and I really was only going to go twice (because we were going to the zoo too) but then a nice older man started talking to me and I went that third lap. I was glad I did. Oh boy, football fans, here comes Hall of Fame week! I live in Canton, Ohio, the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame...so it's a big deal around here. Parade with the HOF enshrinees next weekend, ribs burn off, tons of fun stuff to do this week. And I'm still on vacation through this week! Mike has his oral surgery tomorrow, so send me some positive vibes! He's nervous, has never been under anesthesia before. But it's oral surgery. Shouldn't be too scary. Thursday we're planning a trip to a local waterpark. The kids are excited. I'd like to go play some cards, I'm in poker withdrawal! We didn't make it to Atlantic city like I'd hoped, but we were having so much fun on the beach I didn't mind. Plus I doubt we'd had the money to go. Still. Well I think I'll get moving here, got some WEED readin to catch up on. xoxoo Love to all.....Michelle |

Shari, good to see you I hope you are taking good care of yourself. Michelle, it sounds like you had a blast! Good vibes for your DH! I decided to have a couple of drinks last night (after a day of non-planning that is never a good thing). So the scale is up today, but I am sure it will come down quickly. I have my weighin today for my little club so the scale will be up there also but I am positive I will bring it down by next sunday. Got some yummy salad fixins and chicken and heading to the fruit stand so I will be very prepared for the entire week! W 80 oz E 30 minutes of running, all I have time for today E1200 planned calories just because it is the weekend doesn't mean I dont have to work. DFollow my plan, housework, I can stay on plan even though it is the weekend. |
Busy weekend. My daughter is home and we are taking advantage. Went to 4-H hour show yesterday to watch my neice. DD got to see people from our club and be with horses and all the excitement. She misses being in 4-H so it was fun for her to go back. Then my whole family went to see my son's show. It was fun and he did a good job. He played a dodo bird and a gryphon. FUN! I missed my workout and the scale is up to 212.6. Well I will get back to working out today.
Lli- Great job on the running. That is simply awesome!! Jcat- :carrot: 151. Good for you. Shari- :dizzy: Hey you got some real rest and no pizza hut. Michelle- Sounds like you had a great time. I need to "go" somewhere instead of staying home all summer. My daughter and I have talked about making a trip to Nashville to check it out. She is thinking of moving there to start her post college life. :( But it would be fun to go for a few days. See ya all tomorrow on the new thread. Keep up the hard work. |

I'm still here....just struggling along. I had schoolwork to do, a show to go to last night, and DH is no help. But what's new, right? If he were TDY i'd still find myself eating stuff i'm not supposed to LOL I am wiped out, and i'm going to take a nap today. I think that tonight I'll go grab some whole lettuce instead of the bagged salad mix. DH made a face when i reached for the bagged lettuce the other night....complained that I never eat it anyway and it goes bad. So i guess a head of lettuce in a debbie meyers greenbag will be ok.....IF he doesn't eat it all first. That was the problem the last time. He ate it all before I could get to it for salads for work. I need to plan dinners. No question there. i do have some light hamburger out, some turkey out, and some chicken thighs. I'll prep the chicken thighs in the crockpot today, and probably make a chili or something out of the turkey...maybe make some burger patties out of the beef. I don't wanna go to work tomorrow!! Vacation is in 2 weeks for me. I'm sure I'll have to take my dog with me....unless DH is scheduled to stay home. Breakfasts.....I think I'm gonna have to use Lumi's breakfast recipe and make some up for the week...... ok i'm gonna relax for a bit, get some treadmill time in.....and relax today. |

I'm still here and getting along good - I had some Frostie Malted Beverages myself last nite jcat . . . must've been in the air?:D Didn't get into any of the paperwork I'm buried under - had some unexpected Company from my niece & Family that we Ohio vacationed with? It was great - stayed OP but no Y and no work done. (Altho' my niece read aloud to me from a beautiful book I bought a long time ago called THE DE-CLUTTER WORKBOOK - laughing 'cause I had lost it in my bookcase clutter!:o:D! - so did go thru alot of things being silly while she read aloud!:p) Now today I'm off late to my Big Bro - the one who always fixes my PC? He thinks I've forgotten his Birthday - so that should be fun - looks like I'll be doing the overdue paperwork all night tho.

PS: Same niece works in a grocery store for years now? Told meawhile back to stop eating the bags of salad or really the bags of anything - she said all the workers know that the produce is sprayed with CHLOROFORM and other embalming type stuff!:o
I've been on head lettuce and cut lettuce in quarters to store ever since - actually have learned to like the taste plain or with a lil olive oil s&p holyT. |
Hi everyone. Well I made it to the gym :) I was only going to go for a short 30 minute workout. I just wanted a little jog. But I hit 30 minutes and though, I might as well finish my 5k. Then I hit my 5 K and thought, whats another six minutes (make it a 45 minute workout) well next thing I know I hit 65 minutes and 5.05 miles!!!! :carrot: it felt good. Tomorrow I am back to my regular 5k workout.
My weighin showed me up 2.5 pounds. I know it is just from the drinking last night, I have a feeling that within the next week Iwill be at my all time low! Gotta run grilling chicken breast and making a nice stirfry for dinner. |
