W.O.W. Halloween Challenge WEEK FIVE!!!
Two victories this w/i - I am down 1 pound and my waist and hip measurements are down by one inch each! My waist measurement is 1/2 an inch smaller then it was when I was at 154 pounds 2 months ago.:carrot:
I have been drinking a cup of kefir each day for the past 4 days. Maybe that has helped with the waistline. Today's WEED: W - 64 oz E - Not sure, still feeling a bit run down. May rest E - OP D - Move forward. No sabotaging!! |

I've been behind on my WEED. When I disappear for a week at a time, it usually means that I've fallen off my diet/exercise wagon. That was definitely the case. I went home this past weekend and while I was there, I talked to my mom. I realized I'd been slacking at school (sabotaging my efforts) because I'm afraid of the change that graduating in the Spring and Grad school is going to mean in my life. Similarly, I'd been sabotaging my weight loss efforts with an entire week of off-plan binging. Why? Well, because I'm VERY close to goal and maintenance. Change is scary. But I'm going to face it head-on instead of allowing self-sabotage.
That said, my WEED for the day :D W- 150 oz E- Lifting weights / HIIT with my friend Rob from 6-7 tonight :) E- On plan 100%--I need to pre-cook some meals tonight. D- The sabotage is over! Repeat your inspirational Yoda quote: "Do or do not. There is no try." |

Happy October all! Here's to a new and hopefully productive for all month! I was looking at my WW wi booklet and realized that Sept was just a month of steady gaining. No more! While the promotion is still valid, I'm going to rejoin WW and get the new material. Just to see what's going down. I highly doubt I'll make my orignial Halloween goal but I'm going to keep the ticker and get as close as POSSIBLE! My BFF fixed my MP3 player so now I actually have some music! Can anyone say GYM! |

got at least 64 oz water in yesterday.........i had a final paper to write and zonked out a 10....DH got a call at 4:15 am for a trip......turned out they cancelled it. i am still exhausted...i could sleep a couple more hours and feel pretty good..... i got some weights and stair climbing in....then i came home and ate dinner/big snack. stupid food. today i'm making a trip to costco after work for stuff.....haven't been really shopping in a while. but i am trying, and i gotta do better. dangit i'm tired LOL |

I have been doing really good eating-wise considering all the waves that have been hitting my shore. :smug: I did have a McFlurry last night though. I have to say, it wasn't worth it. It wasn't that good after being away from junk food for a stretch. Gotta like that! :carrot: W - 64 oz E - Setting up sound equipment and singing at the memorial. That's as good as it gets exercise-wise today! E - I'm off to a good start. I'll try to stay away from the cookies at the memorial today. :ghost::badbat: Happy October everyone! Guess what! My scale showed a 2.5 pound loss!!! I wont believe it untill it says that for a week, but Its the first time the scale has moved in, OH I don't know 3 months!!! keep your fingers crossed for me!!
I did not go to work out this morning, but I think I will go while Makie is at swim class (her dad, Nana and Papa will all be there!) The kids are signed up for their sports class starting next week and guess what, call me Coach Jeni! Well DH and I usually volunteer during the class to help out Coach Abby with the 6-8 kids, but this session she is quite Pregnant. She asked DH yesterday if he and I minded doing the majority of the work this session (of course we dont!) She told him she tried to run last week and she just couldn't. So I know at least 2 times a week I will get quite a workout! (1 hour long with 6-8 kids). WEED for today: W: 80 oz E 35 minutes E 1300 calls D the norm: housework, get in my WEE, go through Toys and sort out stuff to get rid of. (to get ready for christmas stuff)! |
After almost 3 weeks of misbehaving, I am back.
It was insane, I was like a little kid running around in a candy store, I had to have everything I deprived myself of over the summer. And now I am back, and going to allow myself a treat every once in a while to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. And so...with the start of a new month, I am starting again. It's back on the bandwagon for me! W- 8-10 glasses of water E- Slim Fast Optima diet E- resistance workout, ab workout, 90 minutes volleyball practice D- I have to regain some ground but getting back into things is the most important thing of all. |

W-150+ oz E- Cardio Kickboxing is canceled tonight!! What ever will I do?! I really don't want to plod on the elliptical for an hour... I think I'm going to do some cardio in the apartment tonight. Mountain climbers, jumping jacks, pushups, abs...get all that stuff done :) E- On plan, baby! I'm going grocery shopping for some more OP foods tonight! D- Yet again, with Yoda! I had to tell myself this last night and this morning...I was considering not writing/turning in a paper today due to time crunch and fearing it would be a crap paper...but rather than face turning it in late, I channeled Yoda "Do or do not. There is no try" and lo! I got my paper done. It wasn't my best work, but after talking to my professor during class, she's letting ALL of us re-write it if our grade turns out to be poor! Ding! I want another slice of pizza *whine* I bought 3 big pizzas from Costco and put 2 in the freezer. Cooked one for tonight, i ate 2 pieces. i would like another one. I did real well at lunch today, got in a workout that burned 200 calories.....been eating OP at work......i got some organic vanilla soy milk...gonna try to make a shake for breakfast with an english muffin or something. we'll see. i gotta set aside lunch for tomorrow. I finished my first class last night....got my 2nd one started today. looks like lots of work but there's lots of upsides to this. I was proud of myself to put a positive spin on something i'd normally be cranky about! |
Oh my friends!!! I AM MISSING YOU GUYS! Our DSL is down (?) and someone is coming to look at it Wednesday afternoon....I'm at work now. DH is going out with his buds Wed night, so I'm hoping the DSL will be fixed and I can put the kidders to bed and catch up with all of you!

Day 2 of being back on the wagon...yesterday went well I'm just taking it a day at a time until I get back into the swing of things. Got back to lifting yesterday...wowie I'm feeling the burn this morning. And today I'm gonna run. :) W- 8-10 glasses E- Slim Fast Optima diet E- 30 min jogging, ab routine, 2 hours volleyball practice D- The only way to create forward momentum is to start moving in the right direction. Grrr! I've been a bad girl today! One word: Krispy Kreme! (wait, that's two!) Damn food service worker week! Not that they really care about us. Everyone else gets kickass chicken salad and drinks from the canteen during their week but we get cold doughnuts?! Bias anyone? I know I shouldn't be complaining because I DEFINITELY can't control myself around that chicken salad but it just pisses me off. And my sup was a pain in the *** today so major headache. Sorry for the vent.

Ok so I'm back now...i took a nap and although i didn't feel great when I woke up, I woke up LOL. i junked out again on snack mix, i should eat something light before bed. i am really tired. did my abs this morning, and worked out on the stairclimber at work. burned off 200 calories. probably the ones i just ate LOL
I did some homework for class too. This new class requires a paper every sunday, and each one longer than the last. at least 2 of these 5 papers is a team paper, so it might not be too terribly bad those weeks. But I can do it.....I am gonna set a goal of hitting the 170's by Dec 8.....holiday party at work. I'm just gonna keep trying... talk to you all tomorrow :) *wavies* |

I feel like i have been so off track lately myself. My weight has been all over the 140's these past two weeks...well...every since i saw 143. I've also seen 148 this week!!! Grrrr.....but thankfully, i've been trying to be good for the past 3 days, drinking lots of water and finally seeing 144 again. Hopefully i'll be back to 143 in the next couple of days. I don't know...i have just not been eating on plan, but yesterday and today, I am back. I made my egg white scrambled eggs for breakfast, went to the grocery store and bought my bananas and yogurt....so i think I am back on track.
W- 8 glasses E- none today...it's thursday E- 1200 clean calories D- just jump back on board and keep traveling the path to weightloss!!!! I don't know if i can make my goal, but i can sure try hard!!! Good luck ladies!! Been missing it here. Just been so darn busy at work lately, no time to check in...much less post. Hoping to keep checking in this week though!!! |

OK - I know I shouldn't, but I can't resist getting on the scale every morning. Yesterday, I was down another 2 lbs since Monday, and this morning down another 1. As my sister would say, "Thank you, baby Jesus!!" :carrot::carrot::carrot: I have officially passed my evil plateau :devil::devil::devil:!!! Just 6 more until I reach my mini-goal.

Glitterlicious is back!! Sorry you were having such a hard time finding your way back. The slope can get slippery at times can't it?! Great to see you back! :hug: It feels rather scary around my place right now as both DH and myself are having a hard time getting down to work these days. We both are self-employed and are reeling from the family losses AND we both have colds as well! The carpets throughout our home just got cleaned today, so I am sitting amongst chaos. Like we needed one more thing to throw our sense of balance off!! AARGH!! I'm doing quite well eating-wise and I got down to some exercise today after a couple days rest, but I wish I felt more stable financially and emotionally! :p W - 64 oz E - Yoga (DONE!) Ugh girls i'm havin a crisis!!!!!!!!! i just want to give up and eat everything....i work my butt off every day and when i get home i'm always famished and eat everything possible....I need a bit of motivation to keep me going....sometimes I don't even know why I try!

holyteror....what are you eating during the day?? are you eating snacks every 2-3 hours?? i find that when i don't have planned snacks, i have the same problem. yesterday, i thought i was full from lunch so i didn't eat my yogurt at 4pm. By the time i stopped off at the dollar store on the way home...i was starving. I bought one of those small cans of pringles and ate the whole thing!!!! at least i didn't eat much with my dinner to make up for it but still....i find if i don't have planned snacks between meals, i am more tempted to overeat at dinner. you have to eat enough during the daytime so as to not overdo it at nighttime. I hope that helps a little.

Holyteror, I had the same problem, I would be starving between 4 and 5:30 I eat every 2-3 hours to try and keep the hunger away. Also If I do get hungry I try to make sure I have healthy snacks within reach!

Well girls,
Sometimes i eat a snack in the afternoon, sometimes I don't. If I do eat a snack in the afternoon it's usually a 100 cal bag of popcorn. That's right about the time I'm getting ready to shut down for the day and go home from work. The snack bars don't always keep me satiated til I get home.....what's weird is that I will eat in the morning, be ok for 3 hrs, eat a snack, get the munchies right before i workout (about half an hour before I eat) and then later on I'm famished. I would really like some low calorie easy snacks for the afternoon, maybe something that will fill me up a little more and that will keep me full if I come home and work out with the dog or c25k. I'm getting really tired of eating salads again, but since the weather's starting to become crisp again, I think I will start making some soups, etc in the crockpot and disperse into individual bowls and freeze. I wanted to make minestrone tonight so i'd have some for tomorrow's lunch. I need to get to the actual grocery store. I hate having to do it, even if I have eaten i have to remind myself "No you don't need that!!" I like the water idea.....if i finish this big bottle i can have this......I'm going to start using that too. I should make myself a small list of motivational sayings to keep with me at work. I'd planned on it for my last craft fair but it didn't happen. Still haven't eaten as on plan as i would like but I did get in plenty of water yesterday. if i could only get that much in today LOL But I will try my best to implement these things into my daily program... oh lordy i just said that didn't I? I just finished writing a paper for class LOL |
