i agree. there's definitely a big difference between overeating and bingeing. i have days where i simply overeat ie i don't stop when i'm full. but the bingeing is different. the out of control feeling and mindlessness are a definite part of it. and you chow down a lot in a short amount of time. sometimes it won't be high in calories. i knew someone who binged on baby carrots. she'd have like a whole 1kg which is really bad for you but it wouldn't cause too much of a blip in her calories

eating food out of the garbage is a really common ED thing. i think everyone i've met with an ED has admitted to it. i'll have days where i make a big batch of cookies or fudge and then feel disgusted with myself so i chuck it in the garbage. and then later in the day temptation comes calling...
