Back from Newfoundland...
 

Hey, girls! :wave: I've missed you all! :grouphug:
We had a wonderful holiday in Newfoundland... it's so beautiful there, and the people are lovely. :love:
We saw a whale (it surfaced about 2 dozen times alongside our boat!) and puffins and ... well, it was just great. I could live there in a minute.
And I am thrilled (and totally flabbergasted) to announce that I didn't gain any weight while away! :hat:

I'm just trying to catch up on the news... Sharon got a house! Congratulations, hon! :hat: I'm going to see what everyone else is up to...

Welcome back Ellis, I had heard that Newfoundland was beautiful, our neighbhours went there last year for 3 weeks.
I am ashamed to say as a Canadian I haven't been around the other provinces. BC, AB and of course the NWT. But that is it. IK will one day do a trec across Canada.

We went to N.S last year and it was beautiful. We are hoping next time we will explore the the other eastern provinces. I have only been in the western provinces. I would like to live in N.S. during the summer and here in B.C in the winter. I need to win the lottery

I'd really like to go to that Viking settlement ... L'anse aux Meadows (sp). Did you go there?
We have an awesome big country with amazing stuff to see and do!

We didn't get a chance to see that (this time), but we did go to the dig at Ferryland in Avalon. http://www.heritage.nf.ca/avalon/
It was really fascinating. Newfoundland has an incredibly interesting history.
