What are you going to eat today? What have you eaten? An accountability thread.

  • I know we already have the binge-confessions thread, but I thought we could have one for healthy planning or just for looking over what we've eaten on a day to day basis. I usually can't figure out if I've had a lot over the course of a day or not until I write it down and read it to myself. Sometimes I've done better or worse than I thought, especially if I add it up.
    Okay, I've had...
    Breakfast: Starbucks tall (small) tangerine juice-tea blend frappicino thingamajig with whipped cream.

    Lunch: Nothing really except for a bunch of little free samples in the mall food court, a coffee with a tad bit of milk and splenda added to it, and loads of mint gum.

    Dinner: A chicken pastichio salad from a mall resturaunt (with chicken, pistachios, strawberries, jamica, grapes, dried cranberries, and dark cherry vinagerrette dressing), a cup of orange-vanilla-jasmine green and black tea with one packet of sugar, and the a small after-dinner mint-chocolate that came with the bill. The dressing wasn't a low-fat vinagerret though, because I examined a bottle of the dark-cherry vinegerret and it was 140 cals per 2 tablespoons. Only forty calories less than the creamy dressing next to it.

    A bit later: A large tea (half herbal, half-green) with a little skim milk and splenda.
    Late-night dessert: A champagne glass full of light vanilla soymilk and topped with whipped light cream and a cherry and three quarters of a Godiva solid milk chocolate bar.
    I don't think I've done horribly considering I spent eleven hours at the mall today.
  • I will do this one meal at a time. I do okay for breakfast so that is a easy one for me. I will come back and edit as the day progresses I'm going to try and do WW and eat more balanced instead of just sweet stuff all day

    Breakfast: 1 cup shredded wheat, 1 cup skim milk, 1 banana

    Lunch: 1 muliti grain bread, 4 oz tuna, skim milk slice, lettuce sandwich. 8 oz skim milk 10 baby carrots, apple

    32 oz of water so far

    Dinner: 4 oz baked potato with 2 tsp bacon bits, 3 oz steak with 2 T barbecue sauce, 1 cup cooked carrots, 1/2 medium cucumber

    Snack: 6 large strawberries

    Total water 48 oz

  • Plan? No exact plan, just the "try to make healthier dy to day desisgions" plan.
  • Okay here's the plan: For breakfast I'm going to have one whole egg scrampeled with two egg whites on a peice of multi-grain and hazelnut toast. For lunch I'm going to have a low-fat turkey sandwhich at starbucks with a grande no-fat-iced-sugar-free-vanilla-latte. I'll have at least one 32-oz bottle of water by dinner time today. If I get hungry for a snack between lunch and dinner I'll have a wedge of laughing cow light cheese spread over fifteen wheat thins (I think thats one serving) plus maybe some green apple slices. For dinner I'll make myself a salad with a measured out one-serving of cheese OR nuts OR avacado (but I'll just pick one "fat" topping), some canned chicken breast or salmon, diced fruits and or veggies, and the tastiest light dressing that I can find at the store today. In case I absolutly need dessert before bed tonight (I will) I'll pick up one of those tiny little dark chocolate squars they sell indivisual at starbucks, I think they're about 40 calories.
    For exersize I'll walk at least a mile around the neighborhood (which isn't much I know, but I'm just starting and trying to build up mainenence).
  • Thanks for starting this DQ it really helped me to be accountable for what I ate yesterday.

    Breakfast: 1 mulit grain toast with 1 LLC cheese, 1 banana, 8 oz skim milk

    Lunch: None major migraine and queasy so slept most of the day

    Supper: still Migraine and queasy so I tried 6 crackers with 1 LLC cheese, 10 strawberries

    10:30 pm~~ migrane finally gone and feeling a bit hungry , 1 oz cheddar cheese, apple, 1 mulit grain bread, 1 T peanut butter.

    Water only around 21 oz.
  • Sunday
    Breakfast: 1 cup shredded wheat, banana, 9 oz skim milk

    Lunch: 6" turkey breast sub with veggies, I took 1 LLC cheese to put on it. It was hard resisting all the smells at the mall.

    Snack: 10 baby carrots, apple

    Dinner: 4 1/2 oz baked potato, 2 tsp bacon bits, 1 cup carrots, 1/2 medium cucumber, 4 oz steak, 2 T barbecue sauce, 8 oz skim milk

    Snack: nectarine

    88 oz water
  • Breakfast: 1 mulit grain toast, 1 T peanut butter, nectarine, 8 oz skim milk

    Lunch: tuna melt~1 multi grain bread, 3 oz tuna, 1 skim milk cheese slice, 10 baby carrots, 2 celery stalks

    Dinner: 5 oz baked potato, 10 peas and pods, 15 cherries, 1 stalk celery with 1 T low cal cheese whiz, small ice cream cone

    Water 80 oz
  • Breakfast: none had to go for tests at 11:45 so not allowed to eat since dinner last night.

    Lunch Tuna melt~1 mulit grain bread, 2 oz tuna, 1 skim milk cheese slice, 8 oz skim milk, 15 cherries, 2 celery stalks with 1 T peanut butter 8 oz skim milk

    Snack: small cone

    Dinner: Mango and 1/2 cup bean salad, before I went out to the movies. Had a 12 oz pepsi and 2 cups buttered popcorn.

    Not the best choices today but no binge
