Christy, eating on demand is eating when you are physically hungry. Not watching the clock and eating breakfast because it is 7:00 or lunch because it is 12:00, but listening to your body and eating when you are physically hungry and not just mouth hungry. (meaning you just want something that tastes good or you are just compulsively eating). Sometime it takes awhile until you can distinguish between the two, but listening to your body and really thinking about why you are eating can help to distinguish them.
