Hi guys
I'm starting a weight loss 'army' bootcamp and looking for recruits to expand( or rather reduce ;)) my forces. :p Anyone and everyone is invited to join.

The rules of the game are as follows:
for every xxx amount of weight that you lose.
(the amt depends on the amt of total weight you want to lose and the proportion you allocate to each rank)
for example: there are 26 ranks in the military and I have 35Ibs to lose.
so I'm allocating a rank rise for every 3 pounds lost until my first 15Ibs, from which it is a rank rise for every pound lost.

Let us know for every rank rise you reach, everyone has a potential of becomng the chief of the army! ;)

okays...its the 27 May today and I'm officially enlisting for army service today. Private(recruit) rachel reporting for duty SIR!
My list of duties today:
- finish planned homework
- eat healthily.

promotions as follows:
private ( recruit), private, private first class, specialist, corporal, sergeant, sergeant first class, master sergeant, sergeant major, segeant major of the army, warrant officer 1, WO2, WO3, WO4, master WO 5, 2nd lieutenant, 1st lieut, captain, kajor, Lieut colonel, colonel, brigadier general, makor general, lieut general, ARMY CHIEF OF STAFF ( goal achieved!)

hehe i have over 100 to lose as well. I have about 130 pounds to lose, so I know i'm a private recruit, and I have to lose 5 pounds to move up the ranks correct? 130 divided by 26 is 5.....AM i right?

love the money motivation...going to have to think of using that. Money talks...lol

All righty... if I start from today... I'm a private recruit and I gain a rank every four pounds if I just divide it evenly. But it's harder to lose the last few, so maybe I should scale that a bit differently... Hmmm... Okay, I'll do it by 7 pounds for the first 6 ranks, then by 3 pounds for the remaining 20 ranks. It'll mostly work.

My duties for this week include:
-exercise every day
-adding one more veggie per day

and obviously every soldier has to do physical exercise...so its spinning class for me later on.

Today will be quite stressedful. I am a bit afraid that I may use food as an emotional outlet. I will and I must resist.

Duties today:
finish case homework
gym class cycling
eat fruits for BF and Lunch. dinner appointment.

Today is going to be a challenge. I've not eaten out with friends since I started my healthy eating plan a week ago. Its strange but when I eat out with friends I eat alot more. I think it has got to do with the fact that I am 'not myself' around people and this gives me stress.

I am going to try to be aware of this 'stress' today and to not overeat at dinner tonight. I'm going to drink lots of water and select a healthy dish at dinner.

Ate alot yesterday. much much more that the previous days. I am not going to have a guilt-trip over it though. I am just going to compensate by eating just fruits for 2 meals today. I am not going to give in to my 'since I've blew it yesterday...I might as well blow it totally'. I am not going to give in to my 'all of nothing' bad habit. I am going to try to be moderate in my attitude towards eating. So if I overeat today, I will make it up by eating less and more healthily the next day.

BTW, I can relate to not being yourself around others. :yes: I hope dinner last night wasn't too stressful for you.

Okie dokie, I went a little AWOL... I haven't binged or gained, though, just stayed the same old 254. My commitment earlier was to exercise every day and add an extra veggie. Well, I at least got the extra veggie in! Still no exercising. However, it's a brand new week, the past is done and I am moving on...

Goals for week 6/5/06:
- have a veggie w/lunch and dinner
- portion control (again!)
- exercise every day
