Girls, you're all doing so well!! :cheer:

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I'm ***ing out any words that might trigger a binge for others. They're sort of like swear-words here, you know? ;)
I hope everyone understands... :grouphug:

Keep up the great work... I'm with you today!!

telemetrynurse 05-02-2006 11:16 AM

Ellis~ :thanks: for reminding me to watch my mouth! You are so incredibly supportive and a WONDERFUL moderator!!!!

I would feel terrible :frypan: if I instigated a binge in anyone!

ellis 05-02-2006 11:23 AM

Elizabeth, thank you so much for understanding! I'm always afraid of sounding offensive. And thank you for your compliment... you're such a sweetheart.

Good morning, ladies!

I had a moderately good day yesterday, but today is going to be IT for me!! :hat: I'm seeing my doc this morning for a weigh-in (I know it's going to be bad, but I'm raring to get back on track), and I found an email buddy in my exercise class who's doing the same program I am, and we're going to email our food choices every day. I'm feeling REALLY good about that! I just needed someone who's on the same plan as me to keep me accountable, you know? Just to break this cycle of no-veggies/fruit, and too much junk. :dizzy:

Latinpear, come on... you can do this, hon!! You know you have it in you.

Good going, everyone... we're really making an effort, and that's huge.

WaterWater 05-03-2006 09:47 AM

(((Latinpear))) Don't give up! You can do this! One day at a time!

I have had two binge free days - which is a miracle in itself! I am REALLY wanting to binge this morning, but thankfully I have to work so that will keep my mind off it for a while. I am finding myself already thinking about lunch... I will just have to be sure to keep it healthy and filling.

HarpoChicoGroucho 05-04-2006 12:02 AM

Latinpear I'm sorry you are struggling. It's an awful, awful cycle, but it can be broken. I hope you did better today. Like the other girls said, take it one day at a time. I've discovered it's a huge victory and accomplishment to just have one binge free day, and sometimes just one day can break the cycle.

Great job everyone else!!! I'm on my 3rd day on plan, although I did eat 6 oranges. But a 450 calorie over-indulgence isn't too bad, so I'm not putting it in the binge category. I don't know why I keep thinking I can buy more than 2 at a time. And I stopped there, whereas at a weaker time, I would have went out and got more food. So today was victorious. I even got a second bowl of my mom's {something that may be a trigger for someone so I'll self-edit, if you really want to know, PM me ;)}, but then I resisted and dumped it back in the pot!! That felt awesome and I felt really in control.

I feel really good!! Can't wait until the scale starts going down again!!

Kate109 05-04-2006 05:37 AM

Good morning:) !

My third binge- free day this week was yesterday
But the day yesterday and the day before yesterday were days with healthy food and no sugar! Well, I feel pretty good, but it wasnīt that easy.....

I donīt know if thatīs just mine stupidity (is that an english word???), but after a few days binge free I feel as if i lost a lot of weight. Maybe because my stomach isnīt that full as usual. So I really had a hard fight with myself this morning about jumping on the scale. Jumping would be a nice cardio exercise, but I fear that looking at the numbers of the scale would totally mess me up at the moment.
Maybe next weighing- day is next week....or next month....
What are you doing? Are you check your weight often?

A wonderful binge- free day to all of you :D :flow2: :flow1:

Kate

Good morning!

I had my first binge-free day yesterday!! I feel fabulous!!! :hat:

Harpo, it's great to see you in here again!!

Water, hang in there, girl... you're doing so well!

Kate, stupidity is definitely an English word.
I feel the same as you... although I've only been binge-free for one day so far, I feel deliciously light. :D

How is everyone else doing? Anyone need a kick to get them going? (I'm so bossy when I'm on plan...) :grouphug:

telemetrynurse 05-04-2006 03:29 PM

Hi everyone!

I was a bit out of control yesterday afternoon.

I ate wayyyyyy too much "healthy" stuff until I was stuffed! UGH, talk about feel FAT and bloated!!! :p I guess it is like a hangover for an alcoholic :barf:

I definitely agree with Kate and Ellis about feeling "light" when I am on plan:yes: It is a wonderful feeling! One more great reason to work each day to be binge-free.

On the positive side, I do keep high calorie foods out of my house. So, even when I slip I can't do as much damage calorie wise. I still try to keep track of my calories and often realize that my caloric intake was not too excessive. I guess it is my way of trying to keep the symptom (obesity) under control while working on the disease (binge eating disorder). Does anyone else do that? Binge on healthy, low calorie stuff?

WOOOHOOOOOO :carrot: :cb:  :cb: :carrot: GREAT job everyone who had binge-free days!!!! We can ALL do this!!!!!!!
Today is a new day and I look forward to a binge-free day!!!
