Challenge !

:carrot: Hello everyone , I just wanted to know do anyone want to try a challenge of 1 week binge free starting tomorrow morning. I decided to this because I have recently gain up to 11 pounds of the weight that I lost and I am afraid if I keep overeating like this I will gain it all! So whose in with me and we can report here daily our progress. We all need support and I figured if I have someone to do it with we can encourage one another.

snoody 03-21-2006 09:30 PM

Oh it will also be fun if we can give ourselves a small reward at the end

My reward:Don't know yet but I will think about it

ellis 03-21-2006 10:53 PM

Snoody, thank you so much for this! I'm having a bit of a rough time, so this is perfect timing for me.
I'm in!

snoody 03-21-2006 11:10 PM

yea thank you ellis, maybe we will get more to join in and the reward that I have choosen for myself is a pedicure (I have not had one in a while)!

HarpoChicoGroucho 03-21-2006 11:49 PM

I want in too!! I need a little incentive not to binge. Thinking of it as a challenge against others may help. I've never tried it before so it can't hurt, can it??

plb@m 03-22-2006 12:21 AM

I would do the challenge , but Thursday is my B-day and bf is taking me out to dinner .
WISH ALL OF YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!!
I'm in next time!

JigglyBits 03-22-2006 02:44 AM

me me me!! count me in!!!! :D

ellis 03-22-2006 08:14 AM

plb@m, have a wonderful birthday tomorrow, hon! :hb: :balloons:
Enjoy yourself, and we'll see you next week. ;)

snoody 03-22-2006 11:27 AM

plb@m have a good B-Day!!
Hi ladies it's day 1, so far I am doing good, but I am hungry at this moment so I am going to go eat a snack in a couple of minutes. I feel such a relief to be back on a plan (physical), but I am suffering the consequences of my last binge (tummy ache) ! Good Luck, we got 6 days to go to finish challenge. If you have a reward at the end of challenge, this will also help to keep you motivated.

ellis 03-22-2006 11:53 AM

Hi, Snoody! You're smart to eat now before you get too hungry.
I was hungry, too. Just had a tuna sandwich to tide me over. :)
It DOES feel good to back on track! My reward is simply to have lost a pound or two, and that's the best reward for me. :) (mainly because I don't hold back if I want to treat myself with anything else. Now if someone offered me a new car or something as a reward... something I can't AFFORD...!! :lol3: )

Hang in there, girls... we can do this!

snoody 03-22-2006 02:25 PM

A new car, lol, would that be a good reward!! My parents and my grandparents just got a new car actually. Talk to everyone tomorrow!

eadavenp 03-22-2006 03:50 PM

i am in... but how do we measure if we are binging or not? for example, i do WW, and get 22 pts a day, I used 12 at lunch. I don't think that counts as a binge, bc i haven't used them all in one sitting or whatever, and i don't feel sick or guilty like i normally do if i binge.

justjodi 03-22-2006 08:14 PM

i want in!! i was feeling a little bit wishy washy last night, i had to put myself to bed to avoid the fridge. we can do it ladies!!!

eadavenp 03-22-2006 09:30 PM

ok, im in tommorow.

ellis 03-23-2006 08:14 AM

I hear ya re: putting yourself to bed, Jodi. :lol3:

eadavenp, I think only you can be the judge of whether you're binging or not. I had an unhealthy snack last night, but I counted it into my calories for the day, so I don't consider it a binge. Just a treat because I was cranky and it's TOM.

Day II, ladies!! Let's do this! :cheer:

HarpoChicoGroucho 03-23-2006 01:29 PM

I got day one!!! YAY!! No bingeing, totally on plan, under my calories. I even had an indulgence last night: low fat waffle with sugar free syrup. Just ONE!!! 70 calories!! I've never had just one waffle or pancake. And they are usually doused with butter and 210-calorie per half cup maple syrup. I think I'm going to try to do this again, because it worked. But not starting with chocolate. I've tried that before and it failed. I may try it next with low fat apple pie or cheesecake or something. Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing MAJOR chocolate cravings with minimal calories. I've thought about FF chocolate pudding, and if I ate four of those, it would be 400 calories and 0 grams of fat. A big improvement over eating 2000 calories and over 75 grams of fat in a typical chocolate binge. I don't know why I can control myself with other favorite binge foods, but not chocolate. Why is that? Does anyone know of a way to develop an allergy to chocolate? ;) I think risk of death may be the only deterrent for me . . . but then again, I think there's a reason behind that phrase, "death by chocolate." Does anyone remember that cooking show? I used to watch it all of the time when I was younger.

snoody 03-23-2006 02:06 PM

Day 2 , (5 days left) Last night was the hardest for me because I stayed up late and have a craving for something sweet and plus I got hungry and did not get to drink all my water for that day (normaly 64 oz). I ate only 1 tbsp of penut butter and I had NO binge YAY!

ellis 03-23-2006 02:40 PM

Thank goodness for this thread. I had a fairly healthy lunch out with a girlfriend, but it was pretty calorie-heavy, so I've got to be careful with my dinner. I just got home, and was about to have a little binge when I saw this thread again. PHEW!! Thank YOU!!!

Harpo, good going, hon! :hat: I don't remember that show, but it sounds amazing.

Snoody, congratulations to you, too!! It's so important to stay hydrated, isn't it?

snoody 03-23-2006 11:47 PM

HarpoChico, for the chocalate fix you can try 1 chocalate protein shake a day, fat free chocalate puddings, umm bluebell sugarfree icecream (1/2 cup, put this in a small cup because it makes it seem like you have a lot of icecream). We made it everybody, keep holding on we are ALMOST there!!!

snoody 03-24-2006 01:06 PM

Day 3, the night time is the hardest for me. I had that feeling where you start to crave something and you have to have it Now, but I did not give IN!! 4 days left

HarpoChicoGroucho 03-24-2006 01:23 PM

Binge free 2 whole days now!! I really feel in control. But the weekend always gets a little tough.

Snoody, I'll try that protein shake. I've thought about protein shakes before, but now there's a good reason to try them. I might try the ice cream, but I love bingeing on ice cream.

Great job everybody!!!!

eadavenp 03-24-2006 02:04 PM

well, im out for officially making it a week, but i can still try and make the next 4 days as good as possible. So far, so good.

snoody 03-25-2006 01:06 AM

Hi everyone, I did not eat healthy at all today, but I did not binge (I am just proud about this) I will get back on a better eating healthy plan starting tomorrow. I am still in the challenge and I am still binge free !!

ellis 03-25-2006 08:05 AM

Binge-free day for me yesterday!! :hat:

Keep at it, girls... we can do this!

Snoody, get some vitamins in your body today, hon. ;)

HarpoChicoGroucho 03-25-2006 11:25 AM

3 days!!! YAY!!! I even had another small victory over chocolate yesterday by going out and buying only an individual package of pecan delights! And I fit them right into my plan (although I did go over calories, I did an extra 1/2 hour workout). Posting my triumphs is a good way to remind myself how much happier I am when I'm in control and how awful I feel when I falter. I need to come to this thread when that binge tingle starts seeping in.

Continued luck, girls!!

snoody 03-25-2006 06:08 PM

hello everyone, I ate a salad form wendy's today which made me full (I was suprise at this). I hardly get full from salads. I got the new southwest salad and boy do they give you a lot of stuff on it. I will mostly be nibbling on my salad today and my chips that I bought earlly. We are almost finish!!

justjodi 03-26-2006 08:23 AM

you girls rock!!! i slipped up on day 2 but have been doing fine since. keep up the great work!!

ellis 03-27-2006 05:47 AM

ugh. I'm on track with my calories, but I'm making bad food choices. I could use a kick in the pants, please. :(

Congratulations to all of you... you're doing great!! :hat:

snoody 03-27-2006 03:15 PM

Wendy

Wide in Winnipeg 03-29-2006 12:23 AM

Yay!!! Wednesday tomorrow! I really need a reason to not binge! My jeans are getting tight again. I have gained 5 lbs since I started binging a week ago:mad: If only I had self control....
W.

britomart 03-29-2006 08:10 AM

I tried to start yesterday instead of waiting and failed miserably. For no good reason. Today's a new day -- off to have a binge-free Wednesday!

snoody 03-29-2006 11:15 AM

:woo:Today marks the end of the 1 week challenge!!!! Congradulations to those who made it through. :cheer: I am very proud of you.:bravo:
