My first mini goal
I like to go against the flow, so instead of renewed fervor in my weight loss efforts with the New Year I’ve got to admit I’ve been a bit of a slacker. My scale’s been up and down between 189 and 184 in the last 2 weeks, so I think I’ve dropped a little “real” (by “real” I mean fat) weight since the new year, but not much.
So, with a trip to the gym yesterday and a salad for lunch every day this week I think I’m getting back on track. And I’ve decided it’s time to get myself a small manageable goal to strive for. By April 20 I will be at 175, my high school weight. As much as I found 175 humiliating in high school it’s sounding pretty good now. Wish me luck! |

I too have set mini goals for myself b/c I have soo much weight to lose (well to me it is ... maybe not to someone else). I haven't really put a time limit on them though just really worked toward that first. Right now my goal is to be 200 pounds. It's been over a year since I was anywhere near that so that's a good starting point for me. I'm now only 2 pounds away from that so soon I'll be making a new one! This is what keeps me going otherwise, just like before, I'll get frustrated that its too hard, etc. and quit. This is working for me & I've stayed movitivated so far!
