That first five pounds is always encouraging! Don't worry if the rest don't "melt" off, you're in this for the long haul! By 2003, I weighed in at an unbelievable 205. After 18 months, I finally dropped to 157. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your view), I've hovered in the 160 - 167 range for the past year. This coming year I want to drop at least another 25 pounds or so.
