Hi, all. Am taking a breather from all the horrific New Orleans news to catch up on posts. Rachel - good job on your moderation. It takes practice and will get easier. I'm going to stay on the fast as long as I can manage to pay for it. (It's a little pricey and my HMO won't cover it this time because I went on it four years ago and dropped out.) If I manage to stay on it until I reach my goal weight (which could take a year) then they have several months maintenance where you ease back into eating and go for regular meetings. Happy anniversary. Have a great time this weekend.
Melissa - Hope your adjustment to the lack of diaretics gets easier. Don't work too hard. Happy Labor Day. Alisha - I chose the fasting program for the same reasons you did. No choices to make, other than keeping to the fast. Eventially we will have to learn to control portions, etc., but right now the important thing is to distance ourselves from food. It's funny, I'm rarely hungry on my 5-700 calories a day. I certainly don't look forward to the "meals" either, almost have to force myself to drink them. But that doesn't stop me from "wanting" as opposed to "needing" real food. This weekend will be a real test. Ellis - what kind of program are you taking? Try to relax a little this weekend. |
