Weekly Chat June 20th - 27th

  • Good morning, everyone!

It's lovely and cool here in downtown Ottawa.
I'm looking forward to getting some stuff done around the house and garden before the weather starts heating up again.

What's everyone up to this week?
  • Good morning Ellis and Everyone to follow.

No plans for the week, just WORK and when I get home at night WORK!! egads.

Sooo whats shakin in your world ?
  • I rode my bike to work this morning (17.2 miles!) and I will ride it home again tonight. I will manage to burn over 1000 calories! I ate a little high on the calories this weekend but no junk food, all fruits, veggies and lean meats! I wish I could get over obsessing about the fact that I had 1500/1700 calories. I know I shouldn't gain from it with all the bike riding I have been doing.
  • Melissa, good for you, girl!! Keep it up!

I've just completed my first week of running, and I'm SO pleased with myself!
I've actually lost a couple of pounds, despite the fact that I've been eating like a pig. I'm hoping that this will be a better eating week.
  • You Go Girl !!! Yeah Ellis
  • I second that!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!

I would love to run... I just don't love it. (I only run if something is chasing me!! haha) I think I'd like getting around fast but I get so bored and I don't think my body was built to run. haha

Cheers on the mileage on the running shoes!
  • Wander my body is NOT built for running either. Actually I'm not allowed to, doctors orders (bad spine and arthritis). But I've always admired runners and their dedication.

    Walking is good to y'know
  • Thanks, girls!
    Yes, walking is the best!

It's getting really hot again. I've held off running until this evening. I expect I'll be stripped down to my underwear and running shoes.
