hospitalization for anorexia
 

has anyone here undergone inpatient hospitalization for anorexia?

yes i have, at the moment i weigh 177, it was borderline though, they caught it early supposedly or something like that

I ended up in the hospital when I was ana.. it was actually from the flu, but my body was so run down that I became severely dehydrated and my blood pressure dropped very low. They kept me for a couple days and sent in the hospital nutritionist a bunch of times. I ended up leaving the hospital, but going into nutritional and psychological therapy. Maybe this is possible instead? Just a note: I have never fully regained a normal blood pressure.. its always low even 4 years later (almost to the day!). I also formed 5 stones with both kidneys (I was 18 at the time which is nearly unheard of at that age), which required two surguries and were a result of ana. I am currently a high risk patient for kidney stones and I'm barely in my 20s. Ana is not as glamorus as she seems. Be careful and get some kind of help before you damage your body as well...
Unfortuatly, I'm an all or nothing person... its either eat anything or eat nothing. Now I am battling to get my weight back down.. due to compulsive overeating. I really hope you can find help (hopefully an alternative to a hospital if you can). If you have any questions or wanna chat I'll check back on this thread :)
