  • Hi Ladies. I'll go ahead and start a daily thread. Hope Aspen joins us.

I got about 1/3 of the way through my workout this morning before the baby woke from his nap, but I'll try to finish it after bedtime. We've got an appointment to see one of Matthew's surgeons for a follow up this afternoon. Then I'll be making Tracy's *****in' Beef Stew for dinner!

That's my day! Tomorrow, I'm taking the kids to see my parents for the day (they're about an hour away), and hopefully, leave Sarah overnight. That would help me make an OA meeting Saturday morning, since DH has to work.

Hope everyone's feeling well - hugs to all!
  • Hi all...

I have a dentist's appointment today. I haven't been in about eight years! When I was growing up, the dentist was a luxury we couldn't afford. The first time I ever went to a dentist, I was 21 years old. He was surprised that my teeth were in pretty decent shape. I only had to have a molar pulled (I had chipped it years before on popcorn and it was beginning to die) and two cavities filled. I hope it goes as well today.
  • Tracy, exactly how many children do you HAVE, dear girl!?
Does that *****in' Beef Stew have many carbs in it? If not, would it be too much trouble for you to post the recipe?
When is Matthew having his surgery? Do you need prayers?

Jennelle, I am SO glad to hear that I'm not the only one who hasn't been to the dentist for awhile. It's fear that holds me back. I haven't been for almost five years.
How did it go today? Any cavities?

Love and hugs to everyone else... we're having a good March break... I'm so glad that DH took the week off. It has saved my sanity.
  • Hi all,

Went to a great f2f meeting today. The leader was inspiring.

    Glad it's almost the weekend!

I'm surprised this thread has so little posts in the evening. Miss you guys!
  • Ellis - Thanks for asking! It went okay. No cavities. I did have to wait for almost an hour past my appointment time, though. grrrrr... And the dentist was firm about the fact that I'd gone WAY too long without a cleaning. He said he could see the tartar buildup on my x-ray, which meant it was pretty bad. He only cleaned them today. He didn't want to polish them because he said my gums would probably be too sore after the cleaning because there was so much gunk to scrape off.

He did explain to me how that much tartar buildup can lead to bone loss. I now know why my mom is losing all her teeth.
