Does this sound like I have an eating disorder?

Hi. Here is some information on myself. Does it sound like I have a sort of eating disorder, or am I just being paranoid?

Before january 6th this year, I was 310 pounds and okay with my weight, ( i knew I was overweight but it didnt bother me). On the 6th, I decided it was time that I 'come out of the closet' that I am gay. From that moment on I decided that my fat was 'ugly' and I had to get rid of it. THe plan was to lose 40-50 pounds per year over a 2 year period, but being impatient as I am, I cut back on my calorie intake to between 500 - 800 per day, and I started walking between 4 to 10 km per day.

Now 8 months and 125 pounds later I weight 185 pounds, am 6'3" tall and 23 years old. (I now have alot of excess skin that I percieve as fat) I am now walking 2 - 4 km per day and riding my exercise bike a few km as well as doing sit-ups every day. I am eating about 1,800 to 2,300 calories per day (if I eat less I feel scared that I will get to thin, BUT if I eat more, I feel guilty that I will gain weight even though I am still losing a few pounds every week).

I also have a pre occupation with food, where I have to look up recipes and make adjustments to them to make them more healthy before I make them. And my desire/thought about sex has dropped to the point where I dont even think about it any more. I am also introverted (keep to my self, and have trouble meeting new people)

Thank-you

Daniel

Hey There

DanialProebsting- You didn't say how tall you are. It sounds like you are on a good track to lose weight. You might want to lose a little more. Look up a weight chart. Then go out and find a support group. You will be glad you did that for yourself. You never know you may find a partner.
I am a 70 year young G/mother of two. I have been trying to watch my weight for many years. I lost most of my weight at Weight Watchers. I now belong to TOPS. It is a very good support group.
Good Luck....Joanne

Hi

Its sounds to be that at 6.3 , 183 pounds seems like a good weight to be at...I would exercise to tone up now If I were you ...lift weights to tighten up your muscles....it might help with the sagging skin. Dont forget to drink lots of water too...that will help flush out toxins and keep your organs working well.

As for your recipes...I think its a great idea that you try to make them healthier.

As for your lack of sexual desire, you should look into that...If it is bothering you, then you should get help for it maybe in the form of some kind of therapy.

Also, look into joining some groups or activities you like ...this will help you meet people and have fun...get out there and do your thing...life is short...you have worked so hard at losing weight...so now its time to enjoy your new body.
