New insight… Stress eating doesn't work!
I'm doing Summer school, where a whole uni subject is crammed into 6 weeks over the holidays. I have an assignment due tomorrow and my stress levels are through the roof.
I couldn't think straight, so I went to the shops and had a pie with sauce, and strawberry milk. Then I bought a 200g bag of M&M's and polished them all off at home in one go! The stress didn't lift one bit as a result of my extreme piggery…. But listening to half an hour of Glenn Harrold's "Inner Peace and Calm" MP3 did. This is a big breakthrough for me. Hopefully I will be able to consistently use this tactic through the next year, which will be a big one, to finish my degree. To be employable I need to lose at least 45 lbs (pref. 70 +) so I need to overcome this binge eating ASAP. |
That's so wonderful! You're putting things into perspective so you'll probably make better choices on the long run now (:
