I did it

  • I started again a week ago, weighed myself this morning and lost. I completely sabotaged my first day, I stuck to my plan even fitted in my granddaughters birthday party.

Following calories I found much easier than reading labels and I'm eating really healthy, I've had girls try and get me to break, putting chocolates near me slices. I remember yeas ago I was dieting and I pushed a Carmel pie away so it wasn't in front of me, my sister in law pushed it back and said you'll have to practice your self control

She never had a weight problem in all the years I've known her, now she is looking quite chubby and having a problem loosing. Everytime I see her I think of that day. But I wouldn't say anything, she now is struggling with weight.

I must of put the initial weight in wrong because the scales say 1.8k and this says 1.6k, I started off 71.4

    Scood.
  • I don't know how else I could do this other than counting calories, even if only vaguely. Good on you for a great week, keep it up!
  • Well done Scood! The first couple of weeks are the hardest! Calorie counting never worked for me (I have some hormonal issues) cuz you can have a chocolate bar or a low fat ice cream and still be within your calorie count. My body tends to grab on to anything bad I put into it so the only way I have been able to lose weight is by eliminating all the sweets/junk food from my life ='( I did allow myself one treat a week when I reached my goal a few years ago and I was maintaining just fine. Then came the stress (back in Jan) and I went on a 3-4 month binge, put all the weight back on AHH!! I've lost 9kg out of the 18 so far =)

I know how annoying it is when people get in your way, it's bad enough to have to deal with you sabotour all the time let alone some person who knows nothing of wut you are going through. Keep strong!!!

    xx

Thanks I never know whether to weigh daily or weekly. It annoys me when the scales haven't moved when I have been good

    Scood
  • It takes at least a month for the scales to move, at least, it took a month for my scales to move even though I visibly saw a change. Your body is losing weight, even if a machine isn't able to pick it up!
