I'm the same way. I find carbs enormously satisfying, both physically and psychologically. My brief foray into lower carb left me feeling like I was "eating in black and white."

While it's easier for me to go overboard with carbs than with other foods, I can usually rein in the urge if I have solid boundaries in place. I have two slices of buttered toast and a fried egg almost every morning. I often have a desire to eat more toast, but I virtually never do. Two slices is my hard boundary. Same deal for lunch: When my whole-grain tortilla pizza is done, it's done.
