tubolard 11-04-2012 03:40 PM

Today is day 32 of no binges!

missunshine 11-04-2012 09:48 PM

good for you girls i envy you your willpower ...
i on the other hand have been binging like crazy past few days. being home just brings some old emootions in me which causes me to binge. i have to go back to university but i kinda don't want to go return anymore :/ i'll just have to suck it up and do it. i discovered today that i have been maintaining this weight for almost over a year now and it's seroiously time for me to lose at least 10 pounds by new year.

Today is day 4 binge-free for me. :D

Still binge-free for November :)

Vacation starts Wednesday though, so I'm very worried.

@KittyKat: Stay strong! I have faith that you can get through your vacation binge-free!

OKAY...I binged about an hour after leaving my first post in this thread. It seems the binge monster has caught up with my weight loss efforts, once again. Sigh. Better willpower, next time.

I can't possibly catch up with all this activity...but I'm glad to see all the new faces this month and welcome everyone as we fight this together!

I had a bunch of friends in town for this weekend. I wasn't too concerned about dieting, but I did try to watch my portion sizes and there was definitely no binging with all those people around! Last night I had the urge to sneak food into my room while my last remaining friend was in the shower, but fought it and now I'm ready to buckle down this week.

Good luck everyone!

mottainai 11-05-2012 01:11 PM

Yeah, so many people, it's pretty hard to get to everyone individually. Which is great, of course!! Love the participation. Again, hugs and strength to everyone struggling and many congrats to those doing well!

I'm ready for the new week! DH gave me some cash as I was running out the door for spending money, but I'm not at all thinking to spend it on binge food today, at least. (:

I love all the people here! Everyone lets do this! I had 3 days of terrible bingeing at the beginning of the month, but today is my third day back on track and I feel infinitely better!

I hope everyone continues to have a great November!!

I had a small binge today on some chocolate chip bars and chocolate cake that were in the faculty lounge, but I managed to take smaller pieces than I previously would have. I guess it's progress!

Still binge free for November and seven days in a row, but wow can your mind play evil tricks on you!

I woke up and thought about honey butter chicken biscuits on the way to the gym. I worked out and avoided the rather minor temptation, but on the way to work I thought about binging on donuts and biscuits again. Fortunately my irrational thoughts spared me: I told myself I couldn't binge because I had meetings all day and wouldn't be able to continue my binge at lunch time :o

Fortunately I didn't have major cravings today and was just fine by noon.

Ferny1730 11-05-2012 11:14 PM

On the way back from Grad school at ten pm tonight, I had my first major "Go through the McDonald's drive through... Wouldn't fries taste good right now?... a chocolate shake..." etc of the winter. I know there are going to be more to come, and I'm trying to head it off before it starts this year by being on here.

I just wish these feelings would go away and I could eat when I was hungry and stop when I was full or after an appropriate amount. It takes a lot of mental work and focus to control my eating!

Survived a day with my family both binge-free and still on track to meet my calorie goal for the day! Believe me when I say, it wasn't easy. Cream soup and corn bread, plus pastries after and chocolates close at hand made it hard to eat right, and I'm so glad I did! I had a small bowl of soup, some veggies, and one slice of cornbread. No seconds, no piles of cornbread on my plate. I did indulge in a small temptation and ate JUST ONE dark chocolate, for a whopping extra 20 calories added onto my daily total. Overall I'm very pleased with my restraint! Just wanted to share my struggle with those who would understand. :halffull:

Huge amazing victory for me-- it's the morning of my refeed (aka "planned binge") and for the first time in like forever, I truly don't feel like I want to take it! No obsessing over it or being too excited to sleep or debating over and over again should I/shouldn't I. I simply don't feel that urge to have a binge. It seems that finally really and truly removing all judgement and stigma from the binge eating act has removed a lot of the power it had over me.

I may still go through with it later, who knows? By this new plan, I'm not allowing myself to remove the possibility. But regardless, I'll be counting today as a success! because 1) I'll still be technically "on plan" and 2) I've successfully achieved being indifferent to binging on the day when I'm always nearly 100% certain to binge. (:

Love to the rest of you, you're all so strong!!

Just a special shout-out to Danzingurl and Atmos and Tubolard from last month's thread. I'm keeping up with you guys, glad to hear everyone is doing well.
