Night time the right time
Does anyone else have a time to binge? I don't crave carbs or have a trigger food. I have a trigger time. When I can finally sit down and relax and everyone else goes to bed, I go to the refrigerator or the cupboard or the pantry or where ever I can find anything to eat. If I have already eaten everything I like I will stuff my face with foods I don't like. Does anyone else binge just to binge? Have you found anything to break the cycle?

Been there, done that! (still occasionally do it!)
Let's face it, we're gonna eat. So I've just started trying to eat better things! For crunchy, I go for carrot sticks. For deliciousness I go for the dessert flavoured yogurt. It always satisfies my cravings because I like sweet and creamy things but the yogurt is much healthier (think: ice cream replacement!). I haven't gotten a replacement for salty yet. Though, I'm not sure if there's really a healthy salty alternative. Le sigh. |
Pop chips for salty? About 23 chips for about 120 cals

Hmm I just googled them! They look good! I've never seen them in stores here but that doesn't mean they aren't there. I'll have to look for them on my next shopping trip.
Thanks desiredestiny :) |
Ahhhh I've seen them in costco n target... Diff flavors too
Your welcome kimminy |
Night time is definitely my trigger time. In the past I'd often go an entire day without eating and then load up on junk in the evenings. And lots of it: potato chips, ice-cream, chocolate, whatever junky foods were there. But to me it did matter what I ate. I couldn't imagine binging on carrot sticks or fruit!

Thanks for the input guys. Guess what I need is something to do besides eat at this time of night. Maybe I'll visit 3 Fat Chicks every night. :dizzy:

No, I definitely don't binge to binge. I find I want to stuff my face before bed. I do really well during the day, but a few hours after dinner is when I want to snack. I think I need to eat larger meals instead of having small meals throughout the day. I tend to do better when I just have 3 meals that make me full, but not stuffed. Sometimes I'll eat breakfast and I won't feel hungry anymore, but I don't feel full.
