Snacks During Work.. Help!!

I work in an office 5 days a week and i try to bring snacks like carrots and fruit to eat during the day but i always seem hungry. when i know i just had a snack but am still craving food i drink water which helps but by the time i get home i want to eat non stop because no one is there and everyone at work knows im on a diet... any good ideas for snacks that are healthy reasonable in cost and good with weight watchers??

thanks!

Are you sure you're actually hungry after you eat a snack or is it just because you're bored at work? I realized I gained most of my weight because I was just bored and eating gave me something to do. To stop myself I would have to evaluate everytime I felt "hungry" and question whether I was actually hungry or just bored, and if I was bored find some other stimulus to get my mind off of it, like walking. If you are actually hungry, what I do for a filling snack (I'm on WW also) is have a banana and a tablespoon of organic peanut butter and it keeps me full for a long time.

I get hungry super quick at work, and I bring some carrots/veg and a granola bar. I'm still hungry, even after eating lunch. Once I get home, I'm not as hungry though :/ I drink a lot of water and hot tea, that helps a bit.

I measure out my vegetables and hummus and one serving of fruit (along with lunch) that I eat during my work day.

I have a protein filled breakfast - usually a breakfast sandwich or a wrap around 8:30, my fruit at 11, my lunch - usually soup - at 1:30, my veggies/hummus at 4, then eat dinner around 6:30 and have a nighttime snack at 9ish.

I schedule my meals/snacks for every few hours and then I'm not mindlessly eating because I already know I have something planned soon. Not only that, I don't have to feel guilty or wonder if I'll go over my calorie allowance. I've already added all of my meals + snacks together to make sure that they are the appropriate number for the day.

The 4pm snack is ESSENTIAL for me so I'm not starving when I get home around 6, and I've even chewed gum while I'm preparing dinner and packing lunches and snacks for the following day. That keeps me from taking little bites of things here and there.

I like to have grapes, babybel cheese, cheesetrings
soda crackers (4 = 1 pt) strawberries

hey! i have the same issue. honestly? one part of it- having the snacks, some amazing ones were mentioned so i won't go into that. but aside from that, some of it is white-knuckling it, and knowing that you have eaten, and you're not hungry.

for me, i have a larger breakfast (at work, i just boil water) and add to instant oatmeal with a chopped up fruit like a banana.

then i have a between breakfast and lunch snack (like a peice of fruit).

then i have my lunch.

mind you i also have 3 coffees. 1 before breakfast, 1 with breakfast, and 1 between lunch and going home time.

i have dinner around 6 30 or 7 usually, and a post dinner snack.

this method has worked anywhere between a 1300 cal limit, and a 1700 cal limit!

spirulina benefits

Spirulina benefits are increasingly investigated and strengthened by numerous scientific studies worldwide. This is because of the outstanding ability of Spirulina cyanobacteria to produce large amounts of proteins, essential amino acids, vitamin B12, and antioxidants. Aside from those spirulina benefits, a daily supplementation would effectively boost immune system cells and make your body strong and healthy.

I find that a veggie snack usually isn't enough to keep me full. I usually eat my veggies with my lunch and then do something else more filling for a snack. A piece of fruit and nuts or cottage cheese usually does it for me.

I also try to remind myself that I'm not really hungry and I'm probably eating out of boredom.

thanks for the tips guys!

I think I am going to get on a strict planned diet like how munchy explained. Im new to this forum and really could use any help possible

If you use excel, set up a spreadsheet for yourself. Rows for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks with a subtotal for each and a grand total at the bottom. Add a calulation for points used vs your daily allowance.
Do this times 7 for each day of your week. I find when I'm hungry in the afternoon I look at my log for the day and realize I've had two meals and two snacks - I can't possible be hungry so I try to find something challenging to do to distract me.

This link specifies exactly how I do it if you're interested. I eat food that I really think is delicious, but it all starts in the kitchen and very little is left to the last minute.

Agreed. Just fruit or veggie doesn't fill me up. I need some sort of protein source. I like to add Laughing Cow cheese wedges, string cheese, low-sodium turkey breast sandwich meat or even small amount of PB if I can afford.

When I have very little room, I drink coffee. Something warm in my stomach definitely helps.
