Binge/ Compulsive Over Eating

Hi - I have been diagnosed with an eating disorder...Binge Eating and Compulsive Over Eating....which is basically emotional eating. Anyone else in the same boat? In addition I suffer from depression. I curently take Zoloft and Lamictal.
I have just started WW for the 2nd time this year....here's hoping I can stick to my diet.
Anyone else

You are eating to solve problems that food cannot solve. The only problem food can solve is hunger.

This is a complex problem. Get help with this. I recommend a book by Geneen Roth called ... well, I recommend all of her books frankly, but the titles aren't coming to me right now.

I haven't been officially diagnosed with an eating disorder, but I do suffer from bipolar and depression. I'm on Lamictal and some others. We're still trying to find the right cocktail. But I would suggest adding on therapy if you can. The drugs might push is in the right direction but if you don't address the underlying psychological causes then you might go back to what you were doing before.

But keep at it. Good for you for starting WW again. I'm struggling with the diet thing as well. It's such a hard thing to stick to. But if it were easy then this forum wouldn't exist. The hardest part for me are the cravings. Mostly pasta. But I'm taking it day by day and when I fall off I'm trying not to beat myself up about it. But therapy is helping me with that.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll figure it out. Good Luck!
