Well, not the same as the burrito, but you know the tortilla is most of the calories, right, and my daughter says (because I was literally laughing out loud at your title) that you should get the burrito bowl. That written, I had an insane craving for Chipotle, and what I did was ate light for the day (like fruit salad and salad) and got a burrito with onion/pepper, pintos, chicken, then just salsa and lettuce, and 1/2 serving of the brown rice choice - no guac, no sour cream, no cheese. NO CHIPS on the side (but oh, they are so good), huh. I figured I can have it if I made it less "unhealthy" and lighted up the calories. Even without those things, it came in at 800 calories. But, planned for, its doable. I sprinkled a little lemon on it too from the soda bar and soooo delicious. You save a lot of calories eliminating just the cheese, sr. cr. and guac. Again, the tortilla is way too many calories, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do and have what you gotta have!

So, I want to tell you, don't worry so much about having it, if you plan for it. Having it will most likely keep you on your diet.

P.S. I agree--they are addictive. We have a place in town that makes the best eggplant parm I have ever had--I don't even make my own anymore--and I won't eat it anywhere else. We call it crackie parm. LOL

I actually eat chipotle all the time! It is not bad for you if you are smart about it. I google each place I plan on eating at and this is what I have found works at chipotle: rice (ask for a little less) black beans, extra veggies, tomato salsa (extra is ok) and lettuce...it is delicous just like this or you can take it home and add a little WW cheese and fat free dressing of your choice! I love it and it ends up being a low calorie meal!

Ok, so you jinxed me. LOL B/c my daughter had heard of this thread, she wanted Chipotle last night. Not only did she INSIST I go with her.....she woke me up! I didn't have to cook for my husband b/c he had made other plans, so I decided to just go to bed and save the dinner calories altogether as I was exhausted from being off work for 2 weeks and going back this week and keeping late hours. Anyhow.....my daughter wakes me up at 7, tells me she is way craving Chipotle and I must go with her....doncha want to? Come me me! Please? Pretty please? I didn't want it, but I had no eaten dinner ... so I went with her and got the bowl, no tortilla. However, of course she had to order chips and I ate a bit of those...so what was the point of no tortilla? Also, I went over my calories for the day by a few, and then I was mad at myself. Chipotle...sure is delicious!

I'm torn between wishing Chipotle would come to the UK and being really glad that it hasn't! I don't like Mexican food in general but man I would sell my soul for a burrito bowl from Chipotle. Reading this has made me crave it now:dizzy:

Agreed! It was really a pleasure to read that post.

I think this is one of the main reasons I love to eat out. DH doesn't cook, and its just so nice to be waited on and not have to cook or clean up afterwards. It does feel a little bit like being taken care of like mama used to.
