Two successful OP days...I am glad I am back and glad I have this forum. Thanks to everyone. Still early but this is the best 'string' of successes I have had for a month.

hi everyone...back from vacation and doing....ok. i am officially ending day 27, but i have been struggling. i managed to get through the 2 days following vacation and also managed to get through vacation ok, although i did allow myself some treats. i haven't stepped on the scale since last thursday...and it is really testing my resolve. i know it is smart not to get on the scale because i definitely ate more salty foods while gone and i can tell i am retaining water and have some bloat weight. i just find it hard not to step on the scale, especially while continuing to fight the desire to binge. i'm hoping that all these struggles are making me stronger. tomorrow i officially go back on plan, although i haven't really been off plan since returning from vacation...just maybe eating a bit more salt/a bit more then normal. mentally, i'm tired of fighting myself...but i am also proud of myself for going so long without a binge...almost a month, which is the longest i have gone since december.

to all the newbies, welcome, keep up the good work!

closing on 4 weeks. Since, I am definitely not engaging in stuffing a whole pack of cookies down my gullet anymore, I need some help not eating lots of carbs when it is time to eat. I have been trying to get my carbs below 300. If I can do that, I am going to work on getting them below 200, then 100.

I have been real careful to make sure I get protein in with my carbs. If I am not including protein, then it can get out of hand.

Congrats to all you ladies having such great consecutive days!! It's awesome!!!

I messed up last night and binged on good food and wine with a friend I haven't seen in a while. booo and shame on me!

Jen - Have you tried eating more protein as opposed to eating fewer carbs? For instance, have veggie burgers or tuna for breakfast. hard boiled eggs or chicken tenderloins for dinner. It's a different mind set than avoiding carbs. It's working for me... well, I'll find out for sure when I weigh myself tomorrow but the idea is a little more positive. Adding protein will automatically reduce your carb intake. maybe? i dunno. just a thought!

Abigail - I know what you mean!! You can do it though. Just keep going and take one meal at a time. baby steps!!

Realme, that actually does work for me. when I start to eat for the day, I have to grab protein, protein, protein. All of the carb stuff I bought--has to have extra protein in it too. It's the stuff like icecream--i found I need to eat this with nuts, and then I feel satisfied.

I am going to shoot for NO MORE than 200 carbs today. That means I have to do a little counting, so be it.

5 days no binging down, on day 6!! Strangely though I haven't lost anything? I've also started exercise about 10 days ago (elliptical) and still am not losing weight. Disheartening, but I'm still going.

Tonight I have a party where I will let myself have an off plan meal and drinks. But I won't binge, I will keep control!!

Congrats to everyone who has gone so long! It's a tough battle... does it get easier as time goes by??

hi everyone! i'm exhausted and getting ready to head to bed. it has been a long day and this week is going to prove to be yet another challenging one due to things that have popped up, which means probably another 2 days where i will be put in situations where i will have to eat off plan. trying hard not to think about it, but was hoping for an on-plan week before i weighed myself again...

regardless, today is day 28, and that means 4 weeks! i must admit i'm surprised i've made it here. especially because i continue to think about binging every day...way more often then i would like.

a day at a time though, and here is looking to tomorrow...

Day 7 was a no binge day for me! and the scale moved so that's a happy story.

Abluvion - great job!!!! No binge eating works!! CONGRATS!!

Fruit - yay! and on the weekend of baking too.

RJ1980 - one day at a time. This no binge eating thing is so hard for me! Are you sure you're drinking plenty of water? and eating enough calories? You have to eat to lose. Hang in there. One of these days you'll see a woooosh on the scale!!!

Better - 10,000 steps - awesome!

Heather - 28 days in a row. You are my inspiration! that is a great success; especially, like you said, the THOUGHT of binge eating is always there.

Lukesmom - keep up the great work!

Hooray to all of us! Will there be a new week's thread? I hope so.
