i have this same issue myself... i try not to binge but then i get so hungry i raid the refrigerator for "safe" things to eat. my diet is all up in the air. not sure how to get back on track. i'm afraid to eat anything... i don't know how my body will react to different foods. i'm afraid of sugar, and dairy products, and grease... so i won't eat anything all day and then i eat four tacos and a pile of chips and feel sick to my stomach. i have food phobia galore right now!!! EEEK!!!

i have no self control when i'm in a "potluck" atmosphere either...

so i don't know how to help... i am all out of sorts... i know that striving to be binge free helps, but i'm not even there yet, so i guess that is one skill that i will have to practice. at the next social event, i think i'm going to try to eat a small plate and nothing else... and ignore food and try to focus on the conversation instead...
