Advice please
 

Does anyone have any experience with Overeaters Anonymous? I have had problems with binge eating for years but the past six months it has become completely unmanageable.

A friend mentioned OA to me so i looked up the website and the whole 12 step thing looks a bit overwhelming.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I have a family member in AA. I went to the OA site and read the twelve steps. Looks like they took the same set of steps and just changed a few words to make it suitable for their site.

I tried them and didn't like it. The religious aspect was very disturbing to me.
I do better on my own, but thats just me. Each person has to find what works for them.
