Finally broke through a one week binge disaster!

Hello fellow chicks,

I finally did it yesterday. It took me a week's worth of horrible binge eating to finally have one good day. I was watching my dreams slip away from me and I felt powerless to stop (I haven't weighed myself btw). How did I finally stop? I went to the gym and kicked my own butt! :carrot: Somehow, that helped me put my head on straight. I've been working out throughout this journey of course, but I stopped because I was having a lot of dizziness (Vertigo) and I started binge eating because I felt sorry for myself (a stupid way to deal with it, but that's how I do it). I have a bunch of other legitimate things that could make me feel sorry for myself, but binge eating does not help, as we all know. I'm determined to turn the one day of not binge eating into another and another and another.....

Today the challenge will be that I didn't sleep well and that always puts me in additional risk. However, I feel so much better about myself now and I was feeling horrible this past week.

I just wanted to say that a good sweaty workout (along with keeping track of food) can really turn things around! :)

dear luckymommy! i am super proud of you!! you did what it takes to get yourself back on track! thats take a lot of self control. ok, so a week went by...thats done now...now you are back in control and doing fantastic!! keep up the good work!!!:carrot::carrot:

keep tracking and writing down all the foods you are eating, even if you are eating things you don't want to eat...write them down...then next week, look them over, maybe you can find a trigger...and prevent this from happening again...or at least limit it to a few days, or even 1 day.

you showed the determination to STOP the binge and that is EMPOWERING!! the binge has NO control over you now!!'

way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:carrot:

Good job! The exercise really does change the brain chemistry. We are "fearfully and wonderfully made"!

We'll run this race together. I'm coming off two weeks of travel, eating almost every meal at restaurants. But we'll get there!

Thanks so much for all of your kind words. I really appreciate it. I wanted to respond yesterday, but my internet connection wasn't working. I didn't binge yesterday either even though I couldn't go to the gym (I'm home with the kids). Today, I'll get to go because my neighbor and I are taking turns babysitting each other's kids. :)
