  • Saw that they closed the other forum so I thought I would start a new one!

I said no to a big breakfast that the rest of the family was having!
  • Fast food!
Today I said no to fast food! Well, I actually have been saying no to fast food for about a week now. I'm at the beginning of my "get fit and healthy" plan (which isn't really a defined plan--yet), and the first thing I've done is cut out restaurant/fast food meals. I'm a busy student, so I've probably eaten out more than I've cooked for myself the past 2 years (if not longer). I never really thought my fast food habits were that terrible...but credit card statements don't lie!! I've finally decided to take the time everyday to do something for myself--something for my health--cooking/eating meals at home!! It's been a fun adventure, because I have a lot of cooking skills that still need to be developed But I think my body is much happier this way, and my checking account will be, too!!

I'm sure saying "no" will get easier as time goes on...but hopefully I'll never lose the sense of accomplishment I feel when I conquer my cravings!

GL to you all, and here's to a happy, healthy weekend of staying OP!
  • I also said no to a big breakfast.
Had an Ideal Protein shake instead. Not as god as the bacon and eggs but at least I dont hate myself.
  • Dessert from Whole Foods. They have excellent desserts, but it really defeats my purpose in going there.
  • I work at Denny's, and last night I resisted double cheese nachos. I had a grilled chicken salad and fruit instead. =D

Hah .. I can relate to fast food problems. I spent enough money on fast food to buy myself all new clothes. Literally 200-300 a month. That's how they get you.
  • I said "no" to quitting during yoga when we were in lunge #9 for 5 deep breaths and I wanted to cry and kick the teacher in the shins and run out of the room, and said "yes" to breathing through it.

I said "no" to the hummus and pita at the farmer's market because I don't stop eating it, and said "yes" to the kale.
  • I said "No" to two things. A gormet chocolate chip cookie while running errands and brownie with cream cheese frosting from the bakery of my local supermarket, they are simply sinful. Those are the two treats I have hard time with. Instead I brought home blueberries, plums, peaches and grapes!

    Very proud of myself!
  • cravings
I said no to cake and caramel sauce for breakfast. //... After saying yes way too much yesterday I have to be very careful, but the cravings are especially bad right now and not going away anytime soon. nooooooooooo
  • today i said no to cake. and candy. and cupcakes. and more cake.
  • I said No to the Snack Machine Monster that lives in the basement of my apartment building by avoiding the basement. I also avoided Whole Foods. I started going there for the vegetables and this winter discovered their fried chicken and cupcakes. As Ashley said, buying things like that defeats the purpose in going there.
  • today i said no to cake and candy.
  • the big bag of hersheys nuggets with almonds, that all the skinny girls at work are eating!
  • I said no to burger king...I had a salad from arbys instead (and it was actually really good!)
  • Today I said no to several different kinds of candy. Oh, and to cake.
  • What a day at work. First no to someones homemade cinnamon sugar cake muffins. Then a Costco lady brought in free croissants and pound cake. There's never food like that around here.. until I'm at the point of breaking through the 200's. Geesh!

    Proud of myself though!
