Can bingeing damage my health?

I was just wondering, can bingeing once a week on 6000+ calories damage your body, or cause other physical problems? I ask this because for the past month that's exactly what I've been doing. I usually binge on the worst foods, like cookies, ice cream, candy, and pretty much any type of sweet processed junk. Is it possible that bingeing like this could lead to serious health problems later in life. My weight has stayed consistently between 110-115 pounds, which I'm okay with. I've also been able to keep up with my normal exercise routine. I'm just more concerned with my insides. Could these binges be damaging my liver, kidneys, heart or anything else?

I did the same thing( about 5000cal.) once or twice a week for a year now. I usually binge on ice cream, peanut butter or chocolate. The last 2 months I still over eat but am controlling the calories to not go over 4000 because it used to make me so sick. Night sweats, nausea, dry mouth, burning eyes and just feeling sick and lazy for the next 2 days. It has to be bad for you if it makes you feel this way. I think your blood sugar & sodium levels rise to high, not to mention all that other crap you can't even pronounce that they put in processed food. I've also heard it causes gall stones, you may want to check with a doctor.

I definitely get the nights sweats after a binge, and I do feel a little tired and bloated the next day. I think I'll try to not binge for over a month or two and see how I feel. Thanks! :)

Wow, I thought I was the only one that got night sweats after a binge. No one else ever mentioned it. I don't get them as long as I don't stuff myself too much. I was using binging as a way to maintain my weight and not lose anymore, it was not the right way, I became addicted to binging. I am better now. I'm learning how to control myself, still overeat, but not til I'm sick. Good luck, you'll feel so much better if you stop for a while.
