Finally!! I forgot how good this feels

  • I had a perfect day today! I stayed within my calories and focused on making all of my meals healthful (with the exception of a small piece of cake at book discussion, but I left the frosting). And I exercised for the first time after two weeks of being sick (and a little bit more from before that when I was struggling to get back on track), which aggravated the remainder of a cough that I have but I think it was worth it.

I had that "binge reflex" a few times today when I walked past the container of chocolate chips cookies my mother-in-law made over the weekend, but I didn't give in.

I know I'm still going to have to work hard to keep myself on track for a while, but I'm a step closer now!
  • Congratulations and I am so glad you had a good day. Keep up the good work.

  • Woo hoo! Good days are definitely cause for celebration. There is something about being in control (and knowing it) that is just so freeing. Way to go on getting back on track!!!
  • It is an awesome feeling - being in control! I wish I could bottle it and take a sip when things aren't going quite as well!
  • nice work. Whenever I go binge free for a while, it reminds me of how much BETTER life is without bingeing...
  • Good job! It's so exciting to get through the day and realize that it's not just that you CAN be in control, but you ARE!
  • +1: I'm giving you a credit for this day, since I cannot press a little gold star onto the screen.

Really, it's you who just gave yourself something precious.

Now try to do it on another day. Don't think further ahead than that. Just for a few hours. Just for the next day.
  • I wish you success
  • That's wonderful! I love good days, because remembering them when I feel like I "can't do it" just pulls me back into reality. You can do it, have done it, got it goin' on! Congratulations
