Just a little update...
 

Hi all!

I just wanted to update things a little. As some of y'all know, I've been moving...BLECH! Talk about stress!!!! But the good news is that I don't automatically think of food as much. I still do, but it has been reduced some. Knowing that if I want to eat, I can....wow. It's a cool feeling.

I've also tried replacing food with other things- like swimming. I moved into a new complex with a pool, so I try to go swimming at least once a week (baby steps). :) I also go visit Petsmart. I want a dog sooooooooooooo badly, but I don't have to money right now. So I go to petsmart, where they have the adoption centers, and hold and play with the cats they have there. Sometimes it's like a food binge used to be- I have to go NOW! I need a little furry friend!!!!!!!

I weighed myself last night. I don't have a scale here, so I have to wait until I go to my mom's. The last time I weighed myself I had gained a lot- I was up around 6 pounds from when I stopped WW. But last night, I was back down to my last WW weight! Whoo hoo! So, I think that by trusting my body to tell me what it needs, along with a little swimming and moving ;) , combined with the little furry guys that require me to get out of the house....I think that's my recovery plan. And it's workin'! :)

Sounds like you have found a wonderful alternative way to "fill yourself up" without food. I'm a pet lover too (1 cat, 2 dogs) and fur-babies can add so much joy to your life. Hope you get one soon!
