Default I think I'm in the right place

I have been so frustrated lately because I was doing so well. But, I am exercising and counting my calories during the day, but if I am up too late at night (say past 10pm) I eat. I cant' control it. It's like this nasty pull to the kitchen to get something to eat. I say to myself, "Well, I worked out extra hard today so I can have two grilled cheese sandwiches and a glass of milk." Ugh. I'm so frustrated! I have always had this issue. Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm here. Thanks for listening.

You are in the right place! Have you tried to have some cut up celery waiting for you so you can munch on that? I notice that when I get that urge, there is no logic in my brain....I can't think straight and I just wanna inhale food. Your post got me thinking that having something acceptable ready and waiting in plain view could possibly have.

Do you count your calories? It may seem ok to indulge in something extra if you work out, but not if its over your calories for the day.

You will find great support here!!!

You took the words right out of my mouth!! I give in and eat it just because I'm tired thinking about it and I know that once I eat it - I'll quit thinking about it.

I love that everyone here understands. I feel crazy because I think about eating constantly!!

I hear ya...when I feel that pull at night, I wash my face, brush my teeth, and climb into bed right away. I often go to bed at 9pm!

Exactly! And 4 me...I don't want ANYTHING healthy. That is a self defeating thing for me...so having celery...won't cut it!

What does work? Hummmm I like the "go to bed" idea... OR get on here for support OR do something FUN even if for a quick time OR call a friend OR get away from the FOOD (for me that would be go down the hall...) OR I don't know....this has gotten me to thinking...

Anyone else have any ideas?

I have the same problem, and usually it's not some fruit or veggies I want, lol. The only thing I've found that saves me when I KNOW I'm oging to cave, is popcorn.

For awhile I microwave popcorn but now I pop a 1/4 cup myself (120 cal.) and it's a LOT! I can put it away too, let me tell you... It is awesome to say the least, lol. Sometimes I even put a little 2% mozerella on it.

I've done the "go to bed straight away" trick lots of times, especially when there's no popcorn in the house!
