I'm back too. Have been working like a fiend, and am about to go back to bed, so I can't binge there. In spite of all nighters and sleep deprivation, I managed not to eat badly or eat to stay awake etc. Have been to 5 births since going back on call Saturday at noon, all healthy babies, but I AM BEAT.
maybe too tired to eat? or maybe good habits are now engrained.
thanks gang

Hey Star2Be! Welcome to this part of the forum. :)

freshmanweightorbust 02-25-2009 12:20 AM

This weekend was the first weekend in months that I haven't ordered in Chinese food or pizza (usually, it was both :o ). Go, not-binging! :carrot:

Ann72 02-25-2009 09:13 AM

Can I join you? Trying to get through each day without a binge at this point. Then, I'll try for a week. lol. :)

shybiird 02-25-2009 09:37 AM

I'm on day #3 and feeling good :)

Star2Be 02-25-2009 11:55 AM

Hi WormwoodDoll! Thanks for the warm welcome! :D

I'm on day three today, too... Aiming for another day of food sanity today! :crossed:

babynurse91 02-25-2009 12:39 PM

May I join too??? It is a little late into the week but I do need help in this. I haven't had a good day already so I would really like to make the rest of the week binge free!!!

EsperanzaBella82 02-25-2009 01:52 PM

Add me to the list of people needing to join the binge-free challenge this week. When I posted on here a couple of months ago I had a lot of success...I have been stuck around 160 since Christmas and quite frankly it is because the binge-monster  has found his way into my life again. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

So today...right now...I am pledging to be binge-free for the rest of the day. No excuses. :nono: I will think about tomorrow when tomorrow comes. I'm trying to take this a day at a time until my eating is under control again. The first few days are always the hardest, at least in my experience. I need a place to be accountable for my bingeing (or lack thereof, hopefully) more than anything right now.

It sounds like a lot of you girls are doing well so far. Keep up the good work! :cheer:

harrismm 02-25-2009 02:18 PM

So far today has been good. Not working today which always challenges my eating issues.Better off busy!!

fatmad 02-25-2009 11:08 PM

esperanza, welcome back. Sorry you "need' to come again tho.
Ate well today, including healthy snacks, still came in under my cal limits.
Was down half a pound today too, lets see if I can get the next half pound off. Saw the doc today, sciatica getting better, and she was very happy and impressed with the weight loss. Very supportive of my changes.
felt a little whoppee with that

Star2Be 02-26-2009 12:20 AM

^ Wow, that's awesome that you got all that positive reinforcement from your doctor! I haven't been to the doctor in a while--not since 87+ lbs ago! I always hated getting the general speech about "You are dangerously obese--for the love of god stop eating and start exercising!" (not in so many words, LOL, but you know what I mean). :o I wonder what my doctor would say to me now... :chin: Anyways, yes, it's always so great to see the actual health benefits of losing weight, in addition to just looking better! Hopefully that good feeling sticks with you for a while. :goodvibes

Day #17. I received my TOM unexpectedly! It's a few days ahead. I typically get it the 1st of the month, but figured it would show up around the 5th because of the short month. Nope, it's early. Weighed in at 216.8lbs this morning, even though he arrived. I won't be paying attention to the scale for the next few days, but I am focusing staying OP even with TOM around.

EsperanzaBella82 - I was stuck around 220-225 after Christmas due to binging but recently found my way back on. I wish you luck!

EsperanzaBella82 02-26-2009 01:17 PM

I am happy to report that Day 1 was successful. Knowing I would be accountable to you guys majorly helped keep the binging at bay. I also went for a 2.5 mile walk last night. I am slowly getting back into exercising after getting sick last week. I feel sooo much better already. Onto Day 2!

Harrismm, hope yesterday went well and you busied yourself with something other than food.

Fatmad, thanks for the welcome back. That is such great news about your dr acknowledging your weight loss and improved health. It will only get better. :)

Star2be, I'm sure your dr would love the improvements you've made to your overall health by losing 87 lbs. That is quite an achievement. BTW, your username brings back memories of when my younger sister played the Star-to-be in "Annie" in 4th grade...she sang that "NYC" song over and over and over at home until I was sick of it!

Wormwood Doll, thanks for the warm welcome. Congrats on your 17 days. :woohoo: I can't wait to get there myself. I am so glad to be back and losing again. I still have a ways to go to get to goal and I'd like to see goal by this summer. I'd also like for my binging to be a thing of the past by then. :dizzy:

Oh, I just noticed you are from Philadelphia. I grew up in the city. Have you heard of Julia Reynolds Masterman Middle & High School? It's on 17th & Spring Garden St. right across from CCP.

Hope everyone has a great binge-free day. Or, if you do binge, remember that it's not the end of the world. Get right back on track!

harrismm 02-26-2009 02:52 PM

Hi everyone.
Today has been another pretty good day.I have not had trouble staying under my ww points.but....I have not been good about always using my points for healthy choices. I need to work on that.As far as the scale...Have not weighed for months.I have a pair of size 8 pants that I try on every monday am.(dont fit yet)Scales really cause me stress.Good luck to everybody today.

Star2Be 02-26-2009 09:12 PM

Hi girls! So, so far I have made it through today (day four) pretty successfully, and I am really pleased... Especially since this week my body suddenly decided to drop what I can only assume to be a TON of water weight, so I might actually have gotten through the plateau that I've had for the past month or so. Yea! I'm a bit nervous for tomorrow, though--lately it seems like Friday has been my requisite "binge day," so here's hoping that I break that pattern!! Usually the binges were brought on by a disappointing weigh-in (yeah, like binging is really gonna help me with THAT ), so I'm hoping that since this week should be a GOOD weigh-in, I won't get that same urge... Hey, I can hope, right? ;) Good luck to all of you with staying binge-free this weekend, too!

WormwoodDoll - Yuck, TOM! Sorry that you got it early... But it doesn't sound like you're feeling too bloaty or gross yet, so hopefully you'll get through it relatively unscathed! Heh. I'm on TOM this week, too, but for me it's actually a bit of a relief in comparison to the crazy cravings/water retention that I get when I'm PMSing! :p

EsperanzeBella82 - LOL, I know exactly the song you're talking about!! I was in Annie when I was a kid, too. Man, I bet that drove you crazy having to hear that song over and over again... And WOW, well done getting in all that exercise and being binge-free! :cp:
