I drove by Taco Bell today, starved and I didn't stop. I was craving a big huge burrito, chips, the works... the old me wouldn't have cared. The new me, we'll I'm losing weight. Another lb off today.

:cheer: horsey!

I just found this quote on another member's profile, and it made so much sense to me that I had to store it to read again. I rarely do that. Here it is:

Keeping it off is a hundred decisions a day that help you maintain what you achieved. And that's the hard part. - L Sanders

IMO, this is why baby steps and celebrating small successes are both so important. Let's stay strong!

Tonight I wanted to melt TONS of cheese on top of chips and pig out. Instead I grabbed a 100 calorie bag of popcorn and had some filling soup. Sure I "cheated" on my South Beach diet with a "few" carbs BUT it wasn't 1000 worth, it was 100 worth! Can you imagine how these decisions add up if done EVERY DAY? I know I'll lose the 10 lbs, and likely 15 to get back to my happy weight BUT it's true MAINTAINING is the problem. Not giving in to urges - like going to the movies and those 800 calorie popcorns with candy...

I want the biggest bowl of the strawberries and cream ice cream that is in my freezer right now.
I am not hungry I am missing Joe!! I am waiting for him to make his nightly good night call and my kids are gone to I am here by myself watching some lame show.
If I ate that bowl of ice cream I would feel aweful and bloated and probably not sleep well tonight and then when I step on the scale tomorrow if it goes up I would totally be uspet with myself and crabby for the rest of the day.
So I am NOT going to eat it. I am NOT going to it. I am NOT going to eat it.
Thanks for letting me rant.

Onion rings! Large fries!....sooo much ketchup.

If I eat this, I would have horrible side pains. I would feel sick and twice as depressed as I am now.

I'm so in the mood for pizza right now. With extra filling. And extra.. pizza. Mmmm. But I wont have it, because if I did...

... the jogging I did this morning wont make any difference. Plus, my stomach will feel bloated and huge tomorrow morning, which would make it tougher to jog.
... I wont be able to sleep.
... I've been doing so good all day, with uber healthy stuff. All that will be at waste aswell. I don't want to feel sick and guilty when there's only a couple of hours left of the day, that I really should be spending studying.

So I'm going up for a fruit and a big glass of water. (: Then I'll prepare for my literature test. That could be fun actually - one of the few courses I really enjoy.

I really wanted a burger today, so I went to Carl Jr, ordered a low carb burger, no ketchup, no mayo, no bun of course, salad, no cal vinegrette dressing... ok, it was a 550 or so cal lunch, but ahhhhhh. I love burgers. I'll still be on my 1200 cal a day diet as I have about 400 cal's to go. When I lost weight once before every now and then I'd grab one of these big low carb burgers. The South Beach diet allows burgers with no bun, ketchup, etc. YUM... I SKIPPED the Wendy's baconator, 803 calories, with a potato... my former fast food meals were 1000+ calories with CARBS and FAT. I'm going to make a list of what I can eat at those fast food restaurants. I don't know why I crave burgers so much, are they a sin?

I really really feel like drinking tonight, I'm just so bored. Is one beer instead of 5-6 ok?

just_a_dreamy1 01-30-2008 12:14 AM

horsey -

I'm sipping a rye & coke right now. Well, I should say rye and coke zero. Just one ;)

leah_0600 01-30-2008 12:34 PM

Count me in for the drinks tonight, i think i need a few....

just_a_dreamy1 01-30-2008 01:16 PM

Leah, we missed you! How's it going?

ClydieCat 01-30-2008 03:50 PM

I'm really craving peanut butter right now (it's definitely my binge food of choice!). I'd love to eat a bunch of PB sandwiches.

But I won't, because if I do I would feel like utter crap tomorrow morning. I'd feel almost hung-over. And I am so dang tired of waking up feeling like that!

THE Heather 01-30-2008 08:17 PM

OT but I love your avatar ClydieCat! That skit was the best!

I want a Dublin Dr. Pepper sooooo bad. Of course it's made with Imperial Sugar so it's completely off limits (and I know that sparing a million points on a drink is so not worth it)

But goodness it sounds sooo goooddd

leah_0600 01-31-2008 06:44 AM

Hey Penelope, aww i missed u all too! :grouphug: i had the WORST day ever yesterday.... felt so bad i really couldn't eat to even have a binge! But today's different, and i'm back to craving all the usual foods again

Clydie i've never tasted peanut butter before!! i may try one day... or maybe not if it's so addictive

Today i just want to eat cereals...maybe cornflakes. I swear cereal is my downfall, you may think 'oh it's better than fatty foods' but not when you eat the whole packet!
