Please Help!!

since high school i have had short binge/purge bouts. it would happen a couple of times a week and wouldn't surface for months at a time. But then in the beginning of this year i started doing it several times a week and decided to go on weight watchers to do it the healthy way and i have lost weight. The worst thing is that three or so weeks ago i started purging. most of the time, i have binged but other times its just something small like salad, soup, or fruits. When i started doin it again i kept telling myself that i could stop whenever, but now i start every day saying i wont do it, but i do. i wait in stalls in school to make sure everyone clears out of the bathroom to purge.
Im scared and i just found out im anemic and i have ibs and gastritis. My doctor wants to see me to figure out what to do with the anemia but i dont want anyone to find out because im embarrassed and i dont wanna hurt my family.
i read about all the side effects and that STILL hasnt stopped me
im sorry this is so long, but can anyone help?

OH man. You need a hug. (((HUG)))

It's hard, but if you have been binging and purging for a while, and you are beginning to have health related problems, the best thing might be to tell someone. Is there anyone you can trust? A friend, a teacher, a counselor, your parents?

And also, purging is related to something emotional. Is there any commonality between your purgings? Maybe something happens and you feel scared/embarrassed/shy or something? Maybe while you're trying to decide whether to tell someone or not, you can try and see if you can pinpoint what might be the causes of your binging/purging.

I'm sorry if any of this sounds preachy. I didn't mean it to be. :) I hope that you can get some help, some support from someone. :)
And one last (((HUG))).

You NEED to talk to someone about this. I thought that I could stop whenever, but it doesn't work like that. I strongly believe that one should have sometype of support to help them through. I am seeing a therapist and a nutritionist to help me overcome this.

Please don't be embarrassed. You aren't alone and your family should be supportive of you in your struggle. Also, you doc needs to know about this so please, please tell him/her.

I wish you much strenght and all the best. :)

I'm sure your family would rather know and help you than not know and not hurt.
