New and need to get control

Hi everyone I am new here.
I have had what I consider out of control eating for the last 2 years.
I have good intentions but those intentions never seem to get me very far.
So here I am hoping to get in control and lose the weight I need to.
I am not very sure where to start.
I have purchased some of the material from OE and guess I should pick a plan, any plan at this time and stick to it with abstinence in between meals.
So I think I will ponder this tonight and come up with something and that will be a start.

Welcome to the group! You'll find some great people on here. I am a binge eater and I found the book "The Taming of The Chew" to be really helpful. Its a holistic guide to ending overeating. If that is what you mean by out of control, it is a book that really hit home for me.

Keep posting and you'll get tons of support

Bikini, thanks for the book recommendation! I think that I might check into that one......

Me too...

Hello Daisy,

I am new too- today to be exact. I am an out of control over eater too. For about two years too. I was told last April that if I didn't stop eating sugar and get myself under control I was going to be diabetic. I stopped eating sugar cold turkey, lost 12 lbs in about 10 days and felt the best I've ever felt. Slowly I have started eating sugar again and feel almost as bad as I did last year, except with no migraines, thank goodness. Anway, I wanted to say hello and let you know that you are not alone. We can do this together. Nice to e-meet you! :)

Hello...I am new to the site, but am hoping that the support will help me with my battle.
I have been overeating / binging for a good part of my life. When I think back on the first few times I binged, I am sickened to think that it started probably about 15+ years ago! I shutter to think of what I've done to my poor body! Chocolate is my biggest downfall.
Anyway, tomorrow is another "first day back on the wagon" for me. I'm going to give it a shot - trying to follow weight watchers program.

Just had breakfast and now commit to not eating until noon. Only having no calorie fluids.
