What did you have for breakfast?
Ive seen this on another forum, and I thought it was a great idea!!
Even you lurkers out there...come post what you had for breaky. We all need new ideas when we get bored with the same ole thing. Like me for example, I had again my protein/fibre shake, what did you have? If its really good, and something that isnt in our recipe section, pls post the recipe to go with it. |
Do you want us to post here even if our breakfast isn't interesting? I ate 2 scrambled eggs and a large slice of ham.

I was bad and only had a cup of coffee. I usually eat breakfast every day, but had an early Dr.'s appt. this AM.

I had a low carb quesadilla this morning with a little sour cream and salsa ( I really am not very into breakfat food). Most days I have a slice of my very low carb cheesecake for breakfast.

I had a cup of coffee, 2 sausage patties and 2 scrambled eggs. The rest of my family had this with toast and home-made hashbrowns.

needtolose, I know what you mean about the chickens and eggs. A lady at my husbands work has chickens and sends us about 3 dozen eggs a week and we use them all. LOL, I am growing feathers too. I'm not very creative with breakfast either. It's eggs with sausage, eggs with bacon, or an omelet almost every day. I did have Oats this morning and they tasted so wonderful it was hard not to eat the whole darn pan. They are higher in carbs, hence why I get tuna salad for dinner with eggs of course.

I blew it today. Had a sausage egg biscuit. I intended to throw the biscuit part away, but ate it anyway. Now it's sugar free jello and tuna for me the rest of the day. Scale was down 3 lbs. this morning and I had this stupid sense of entitlement that I sometimes get.

I tried to make these egg crepes I saw on this site and they didnt work out and were discusting looking. I dont know what i was thinking!

about 5 slices of fatty bacon, 2 fried eggs (fried in bacon grease!) and a little bit of spinach also fried in the bacon grease with some salt and garlic powder thrown in

Mealybug - it is in the lowcarb section. Little tip. Dont make a cheesecake recipie with only water , cream cheese , and jello mix. It is terrible!!!

I added the extra eggs and cheese this morning because I was going to a seminar that had a luncheon and I didnt know what was being served. So I stocked up so to speak. My shake is 7 carbs, but 5 carbs are fibre. So its net 2 carbs. Im not a big breakfast person, but if I at least have this, its enough to jump start my body. I have quiche once in a while tho ;) |

Not really Kathy, its Optimum Nutrition's double chocolate fudge protein powder w/a heaping tsp of psyllium husk powder and water. Thats it Im afraid, its delicious and nice and chocolatey. I found it was nice and simple for rushed mornings...and only one dish to wash(my shakey cup) :lol:
