What did you have for breakfast?

Ive seen this on another forum, and I thought it was a great idea!!

Even you lurkers out there...come post what you had for breaky. We all need new ideas when we get bored with the same ole thing.

Like me for example, I had again my protein/fibre shake, what did you have? If its really good, and something that isnt in our recipe section, pls post the recipe to go with it.

MsChris 09-01-2006 01:00 PM

Do you want us to post here even if our breakfast isn't interesting? I ate 2 scrambled eggs and a large slice of ham.

RobinW 09-01-2006 01:13 PM

yup chrislyn, because, sometimes a boring combo to you, might be something interesting to someone else.

Hey Jen! :welcome3: glad to have you here!

JerseyGyrl 09-01-2006 01:20 PM

3 slices of bacon, 1 hard boiled egg, Dannon carb control/low sugar yogurt:)

lilybelle 09-01-2006 02:51 PM

I was bad and only had a cup of coffee. I usually eat breakfast every day, but had an early Dr.'s appt. this AM.

MomToKaylaAndTwins 09-01-2006 02:54 PM

Mindy5936 09-02-2006 12:17 PM

I had a low carb quesadilla this morning with a little sour cream and salsa ( I really am not very into breakfat food). Most days I have a slice of my very low carb cheesecake for breakfast.

RobinW 09-02-2006 01:26 PM

MsChris 09-02-2006 02:26 PM

Modified Sausage & Egg Frittata this morning.

needtolose4me2 09-03-2006 09:33 AM

I am not one for thinking outside thebox for breakfast. I sure do miss having a bagel and coffee!
I've been thinking about getting my own chickens because I eat so many damn eggs!
THis morning - shrimp omelette.

Hey where can I find that "very low carb cheesecake recipe????"

Maggie

RobinW 09-03-2006 11:19 AM

lilybelle 09-03-2006 01:50 PM

I had a cup of coffee, 2 sausage patties and 2 scrambled eggs. The rest of my family had this with toast and home-made hashbrowns.

RobinW 09-04-2006 10:48 AM

protein/fibre shake....BUT I'll be doing some cooking today, so this will get more exciting

RobinW 09-05-2006 07:44 PM

protein/fibre shake.....but, I made 2 quiches today!

lilybelle 09-05-2006 08:17 PM

needtolose, I know what you mean about the chickens and eggs. A lady at my husbands work has chickens and sends us about 3 dozen eggs a week and we use them all. LOL, I am growing feathers too. I'm not very creative with breakfast either. It's eggs with sausage, eggs with bacon, or an omelet almost every day. I did have Oats this morning and they tasted so wonderful it was hard not to eat the whole darn pan. They are higher in carbs, hence why I get tuna salad for dinner with eggs of course.

RobinW 09-06-2006 11:06 AM

spinach quiche and coffee

lilybelle 09-06-2006 02:47 PM

I blew it today. Had a sausage egg biscuit. I intended to throw the biscuit part away, but ate it anyway. Now it's sugar free jello and tuna for me the rest of the day. Scale was down 3 lbs. this morning and I had this stupid sense of entitlement that I sometimes get.

vouge09 09-07-2006 04:33 PM

I can taste the cheesecake now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RobinW 09-07-2006 07:41 PM

cheeseburger quiche

lilybelle 09-08-2006 01:11 AM

I had a tablespoon of peanut butter on LC toast with a cup of coffee.

RobinW 09-08-2006 11:12 AM

I think I'll just have my protein/fibre shake today.

vouge09 09-08-2006 04:28 PM

i woke up late and didnt have time fo r breakfast but for lunch I had 5 strips of bacon and for dinner I am having shrimp scampi

RobinW 09-10-2006 09:53 AM

protein/fibre shake

lilybelle 09-10-2006 12:04 PM

I had 1 slice whole wheat LC toast with peanut butter on it and 2 scrambled eggs with a cup of coffee.

vouge09 09-10-2006 02:56 PM

I tried to make these egg crepes I saw on this site and they didnt work out and were discusting looking. I dont know what i was thinking!

mealybug 09-10-2006 07:29 PM

about 5 slices of fatty bacon, 2 fried eggs (fried in bacon grease!) and a little bit of spinach also fried in the bacon grease with some salt and garlic powder thrown in

mealybug 09-10-2006 07:30 PM

where is the recipes section?? I'm trying to find cream cheese pancakes and the low carb cheesecake I keep hearing people talking about!!

vouge09 09-10-2006 08:14 PM

Mealybug - it is in the lowcarb section. Little tip. Dont make a cheesecake recipie with only water , cream cheese , and jello mix. It is terrible!!!

RobinW 09-11-2006 09:07 AM

protein/fibre shake & 2 scrambled eggs w/cheddar cheese

vouge09 09-11-2006 05:17 PM

Robin...is that all you ever have? And how many carbs and what do you put in it?

RobinW 09-11-2006 07:11 PM

 most of the time.
I added the extra eggs and cheese this morning because I was going to a seminar that had a luncheon and I didnt know what was being served. So I stocked up so to speak.

My shake is 7 carbs, but 5 carbs are fibre. So its net 2 carbs. Im not a big breakfast person, but if I at least have this, its enough to jump start my body. I have quiche once in a while tho ;)

lilybelle 09-11-2006 07:26 PM

I had Oats and a cup of coffee.

RobinW 09-12-2006 10:14 AM

I think I'll stick to my shake this morning, I am NOT hungry at all!

Mindy5936 09-12-2006 10:42 AM

I had some left over steak.

spcdcider 09-12-2006 12:06 PM

Robin is there a recipe to go with your protien fiber shake? Kathy

RobinW 09-12-2006 12:30 PM

Not really Kathy, its Optimum Nutrition's double chocolate fudge protein powder w/a heaping tsp of psyllium husk powder and water. Thats it Im afraid, its delicious and nice and chocolatey. I found it was nice and simple for rushed mornings...and only one dish to wash(my shakey cup)
