I'd like to kick off a challenge (Because it worked before for me)!

Let's see what kinda steps you can turn in each day for a week. Let's start Sunday so everyone will have a chance to get on board. We will post daily reports here!

GO!!!

I'm confused. Steps as in walking? What do you mean here? You want us to count our steps? Or what are we talking about exactly?

tammy1214 05-05-2006 12:19 PM

Clear it up!

So sorry, my goal is to get 70,000 steps in seven days. I like mini challenges because I can do this for seven days where the challenge to get 60 miles in a month or something like that would feel to big for me. I like weekly challenges.
So this challenge starts Sunday, May 7th. Please join me!

I'd like to join you tammy... I'll start keeping track this Sunday.

SherryA 05-05-2006 12:59 PM

Do you have a pedometer that counts your steps? or are we expected to count them ourselves? Or do you just estimate based on how many minutes you spend taking walks? I move throughout the day, but I doubt if I could keep track of each step.

I do want to make it a goal to walk more, but I'm not sure about counting steps.

I have a step counter there are cheap ones and there are exspensive ones also 2000 steps is roughly a mile so you could count it that way.

So you're talking about 3.5 miles a week? Ok, that sounds like something I could figure out.

Sunday's Report

Sunday for me 6,281 steps.

The goal ladies is to be aware of what you are doing and what you could do. Just kinda of a look. The exsperts say we sould strive to get in 10,000 steps per day. The average for regular daily life is 4,000.

Sunday is my lazy family day. We went to my mothers. Look for the number to grow!

tammy1214 05-09-2006 09:37 AM

Monday, 9,872 steps!!
For some reason the ticker is counting them in tens. But the goal is clearly not 70 steps in a whole week! hahaha!
Where are my stepping buddies??

I stink at counting things, challenges and recording things. But this sounds like a great idea :)

All are welcome. I was beginning to think I was doing this by myself...anyway. IT has been a tough week for me too. I am not happy with my lack of sucess this week at all....
