Valentine Vixen Challenge
 
Lets get started, jump in when you are ready. Be it today, or Jan 1st. Everyone is welcome.

All you have to do is post your goals, your daily menu's and hang out for support.

Alright....Ive thought about my goals, and here they are.

1. I will be wearing my size 14 jeans by Feb 14/06
2. My size 12 skirt will be what I will wear when Hubby and I go out for Valentine's Day Supper.(skirt is a big 12)
3. My size 14 dress pants will fit!!
4. I will be well into Onederland by Valentine's day
5. I will get my water in everyday
6. I will remain on induction until Feb 14/06
7. I will continue to try new recipes to keep from getting bored
8. 2nd week of January I will incorporate weight lifting into my exercise program
9. I will do at least 30 min of cardio, at least 3x a week.

That should do it....I think its very doable.......who's next?

Today's food plan

Breaky~ protein/fibre shake
Lunch~ I havent a clue, I am sooooooooooooo not hungry and its almost 3pm
Supper~ bits of roast beef and some green beans(or a shake depending on what I have for lunch) :lol:

Ive just thought of something else. If you have a camera, or a digital camera, take your picture on the day you start this challenge, and post it. On the 14th we will take another photo, and post it.....so we can see the changes! What do you think?

Great idea! I'll see if my mom will take my pic later or maybe I'll use the Christmas pic from yesterday since I'm starting today.

Robin, what's your reward? I don't know what my reward is yet, maybe just feeling damn good.:D

ok, your list is awesome Robin, I wish I could throw some weight training in too but I'd rather be able to walk LOL

#1 To weigh 175 by Valentines day
#2 To drink at least 8-8oz glass of water a day
#3 To increase walking to at least 5 miles a day by the 14th
#4 Alcohol is only allowed once a month

just realized that I missed my Christmas goal of 20 lbs by 9 pounds and that 23 pounds is a very high bar but I'm shooting for it anyway.

I dont know yet either....maybe some matching earrings to go with my new necklace? But honestly, just having the scale move down, and my "baby" belly shrink is awesome enough at the moment!!

I dont blame you for wanting to walk!! I have to be careful with the weights, I get too gung-ho and hurt myself....then I feel sorry for myself, and before I know it, Ive sabotaged everything. So, it will be very slow going this time!

I'm in starting the 1st.

My goal is to be in the 160 range by Valentines.

I'm not sure how I will set up my meals. I suppose I should get to thinking about it and writing it down so I don't grow tired with my immediate/last minute choices.

OK, I've been thinking about this since I saw the post. I don't know that I'll be posting my meals every day since I already enter them in FitDay and because once the New Year is in and my 4 y/o's therapists and aid return, my online time is going to be quite limited again. I've become quite spoiled this last week having our house to ourselves :).

So, I'm going with these goals (borrowed a couple from Robin :) ...
* Will remain on induction until Feb. 14
* Will continue to exercise 5x/wk (min. 5 hrs/wk now, 10 hrs/wk by Jan. 14, 15 hrs/wk by Feb. 14)
* Will drink a min. of 100ozs water every day
* Will be wearing size 14 jeans by Feb. 14
* Will continue to try new recipes
* Will be 167lbs (or less!) by Feb. 14/06

As soon as my other challenge is over, I'll change my ticker. Welcome Superstacy. There are a few of us now LOL. I'm an "IE" though, but just as super ;).

My goal is simple.

I am not going to put any numbers that are not out of easy reach.

#1 get OP
#2 Drink
#3 Start to exercise again
#4 lose only 5 lbs (see easy goes)

but the problem is I have no bettery for the scale. (mental thing if I can not weigh I am not fat!! :lol: :devil:

I got thru yesterday ok. Very stressfull tho!! I finally got hungry at around 9pm, so I guzzled some water, and got into bed by 10.

Today's plan

Breaky~ protein/fibre shake
Lunch~ 2 eggs w/butter
Supper~ left over roast beef and green beans

Might try to get some skating in today....if the weather holds up.

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind if I jump in here with you. I've used Atkins in the past and I want to lose weight (again). Some work ladies are going to start a weight loss program through our local "Y", but it doesn't start until Jan 9th, so the Valentine Vixen challenge has good timing for me.

I want to be at 155.5 by 2/14

Would LOVE to be in size 10 by then

Reward - Special dinner out with DH (Filet Mignon - SO expensive, but I love it).

I was having some serious issues with the fat lady yesterday! I made sure I voiced my issues with dh, and he was very good at helping me thru it. I made it, didnt over eat, and didnt get into the sugar! So it was a successful evening.

Today's plan

Breaky~ protein/fibre shake
Lunch~ 2 eggs w/butter
Supper~ chicken and broccoli

Snacks~ 2 oz cheese, cream cheese & jello

drank my alcohol for the month yesterday and the bad part is that it sucked...tasted awful.

12/27 - Didn't exercise cause I was rearranging my LR & DR, but that took about 3-4 hours, so it must count for something LOL.

Breakfast: 2 egg omelet with turkey (deli) & cheese
Lunch: Salad with my own faux honey mustard dressing
Supper: Salad with leftover turkey from Christmas & HM Dressing

Snack: Cream cheese mock danish thingy (made with cream cheese of course LOL, cocoa powder, vanilla, sweetener & an egg)

Coffee: 5 cups throughout day
Water: 72 ozs (didn't exercise & forget to drink water when I don't)

Will post today's stuff after. Still not sure what I'm doing for supper LOL.

Thank you for starting this!! I am going on induction January 1st. I have the same goals as the 2 poster.
1. I will remain on induction until Feb 14/06
2. I will continue to try new recipes to keep from getting bored
3. I will excercise(sp?) at curves for 45 minutes 6 times a week
4. I will fit into my size 12 jeans with NO problem:D
5.I will get my water in everyday

Exercised yesterday only for 40 mins. Back was still a bit tender from moving the furniture the other day & had to take it easy.

Yesterday I had...

Breakfast/Lunch: Flaxseed Oatmeal
Supper: My own Gr. Beef concoction

Snack: Cauliflower

Water: 114 ozs
Coffee: 5 cups (added pkg. of decaf to my container so am drinking 1/2 & 1/2 now...it's a start LOL).

I never know what I'm doing for the whole day in advance like you gals, so guess I'm always going to be running a day behind :).

Becca ~ totally understand about the computer time. When my boys are at their dads, there have been times where my butt has only left the computer chair for food, drink & to go potty. Then they get home 2 days later & I'm amazed 'cause nothing got done around the house.

HELLO LADIES........ HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I AM NEW HERE TO TH EFORUMS BUT WOULD LOVE TO DO THIS CHALLENGE.
I HAVE BEEN LOW CARBIN FOR QUITE A WHILE. RECENTLY GOT MY DH ON THE WAGON AND HE OF COURSE IS QUICKLY GAINING ON ME. I TOPPED OUT SOMEWHERE NEAR 280 AND HAVE MADE IT TO 183, THAT WAS BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND NOW I AM KNOCKING ON 200'S DOOR.

SO I THINK THIS IS THE PERFECT IDEA A LITTLE MOTIVATION TO WIDDEN THE GAP BETWEEN ME AND DH, ANY BODY HAVE AN IDEA WHAT A REASONABLE GOAL WOULD BE BOTH WITH WEOGHT LOSS AND EXERCISE IN THIS TIME PERIOD. ASIDE FROM DH I HAVE YET TO DISCUSS LOW CARBIN WITH MANY PEOPLE SO ANY TIPS CAN HELP

I did pretty good yesterday, but spent most of the late evening on the computer playing games, to keep from eating more food. It worked, but I had an awesome dream last night....dreamed I ate many many butter tart squares :T :T Pretty darn tastey :lol:

Actually the first thing I noticed was your cutie hair do, I LOVE it :)

My day yesterday was weird, I had eggs for breakfast and then dh wanted to eat chinese so I sat there with my ice water then went buck wild when I got home eating every 'low carb' food in the fridge. Paying for it this morning. Then I made one of those cottage cheese/pudding/peanut butter things this morning :( I am jumping back on track RIGHT NOW though.

DH and I can't decide if we want to start tomorrow or Tuesday. But I'm in for the challenge. Was thinking of something like this when I woke up this morning.....but afraid to step on the scale and have reality set in!! You know the "I can't have gained TOO much during the carb fest this week" type thing. I'll see if I have any Christmas pictures I can post for a "before" but won't be able to until Tuesday or Wednesday......so I'll be back :)

Lacey~ thats probably a good idea. Are you eating the l/c yogurt? If you mix equal parts yogurt, and equal parts cottage cheese, it makes a nice protein filled breakfast....quite tastey too. That might be where you're running into trouble...the protein part of it. I find that if I eat a protein with a carb, it helps alot. Just a thought :)

I seem to be struggling more than I was before christmas. Im over the carb hangover, and my system seems to be back to normal. But Im fighting too much with myself, and I really shouldnt be. Im going to try to up my fat intake today, and see if that helps at all. More eggs maybe, and another pot of cheeseburger soup. :crossed:

Today's plan

Breaky~ 2 eggs w/cheddar cheese
Snack~ protein shake (Im out of fibre)
Lunch~ 2 eggs, and a cup of green beans (maybe just one egg)

:wave: everyone! I will be starting Jan. 1st.

My goals are:
1. Do at least 30 min of exercise a day.
2. Eat healthy
3. Drink all my H2O.
4. Get below 200lbs. 190 would be nice, but I'll take 199!
5. Have more energy!

My meal plan every day is just to stay within my weight watchers points, eat 5 fruits and veggies and drink at least 6 glasses of H2O.

Well, I'm way too behind to add all my daily meals & exercise, so won't bother with that. I knew trying to post these daily would be too challenging once the boys were home from their dads.

Well, I have stuck to my diet all day, I took a 60min. walk, and I have drank all of my H2O!! I ate all 5 of my servings of veggies and fruit and I have 7 pts. left to spend for the day ( I am on weight watchers). I will have a granola bar and a nutrigrain bar before bed.:high:

My day certainly isnt starting off very good. I finished off the chocolate whip cream (with splenda) for breakfast. :( I woke up wanting to cheat.

I dont know how today is going to go. Ive had my breakfast...obviously not a good choice, but it could have been worse.

Lunch is after the funeral, at a restaurant, and dinner :dunno: maybe a ceasar salad.

I'll be glad when today is over.

It's understandable Robin, you're under a lot of stress. I can't tell you enough how much this info you sent me has helped. Having a food journal has been what I really needed all along, and looking at my goal in writing I think is really helping :smug: TY :hug:

I'd be super interested in an accountability exercise thread, keep forgetting to tell you that.

Did awesome yesterday, the evening is SO tempting but I just had an atkins cappucino shake and it was pretty good. Down to 197 this morning so I'm thrilled about that.

walked 3 miles yesterday, gonna gazelle today and walk if I have time after work

Well the day is over, and Im about to crawl into bed with my book and dh :)

Food choices were NOT good today, but I let my guard down(purposely), and just munched where I wanted. Even snuck in 4 marshmallows and 3 timbits :dizzy: I have a belly ache to show for it.

Im back at it tomorrow morning (right now actually) and exercise will be a regular thing for me!
