If you're just watching carbs aren't really on atkins? Because some say its limitless other say 4 ounces. What do you guys do?

I'm not a cheese-eater, but just wanted to say that if you are eating more than an ounce or two a day, please be sure to get LOTS of fiber (more than 20 grams) a day; cheese is one of the most binding things there is! Best of luck ;)

1 eat no more than 2 oz of cheddar or colby, and a few shakes of parmesean a day.

the book says there is a limit, IMO people who say it is limitless haven't read the book and haven't eaten this way to know that too much cheese will cause you to be constipated and will cause stalls in some (namely me). I try to stay away from cheese, but if I HAVE to have something to eat I'll grab a couple of slices. I also hate the way it makes my breath stink and I have to run to the bathroom and brush my pearlies real fast :D

I'm one of those that doesn't pay attention to the amount of cheese I eat. Might be part of my problem? Anyway, if you're doing Atkins it'll tell you in the book how much cheese to eat. And I suggest following the book (again, IF doing Atkins) in order to get the results.

I love rich cheeses with strong flavors, french varieties are very good and flavorful which means they can be a little overwhelming to eat large amounts, so if im craving cheese I'll have whatever kind i want but no more than say, the size of half a deck of cards! I havent personally found it caused any constipation or slowing of my weight loss:) but try to choose the most natural full fat cheese you can find because lots of the more popular cheeses like cheese spreads and slices are processed and who knows whats in there!! ;)
