Week Day Chat Aug 8-12
Well, it's Monday already. Where did the weekend go?? Working on the water intake today. Filling up water bottles to take with instead of soda whenever I go places. That'll help!! Otherwise, did pretty good at the picnic. Meat and some fruit. Slipped and had a couple small (made sure they were only a mouth full) bites of desserts. So once again, a winning situation. YEAH!!! So hopefully if I can get that water in this week I can have another pound or two loss on Saturday. Friday is my nieces wedding. Oh...and signed up for a Character Enrichment class at the church I go to....that should be interesting (and scary!!) :dizzy: Well, off to start the day!!

Tulip: Just read your post. Welcome back and congrats on the weight loss!!! You'll get that last 6 pounds off!! I know what you mean about being close to goal and then slipping up by cheating more. I was about 10 pounds away from my goal. Now I'm 20!!!! YIKES!! Keep up the great work and YOU CAN DO THIS!!!

Had a not too bad day yesterday....eating was good, water was better and Im down 3lbs already. Its amazing how much water we hold. It's almost noon and I've STILL not gotten any water in. Not thirsty. Going to have to really force that down. Then again...I just got home! lol Definitely going to have to work on bringing water with. |
TulipFairy: Welcome back, and congrats on your success so far! You must be looking and feeling great. I'm sure those last six pounds will be off in no time. I can't wait to be six pounds away from goal -- how great that must feel! :D
Brenda: Congrats on the two-pound loss! :cb: I know you've been working hard lately, so it's definitely well-deserved. Keep it up! Robin: Awesome! Three pounds down already! Way to go! Well, my weekend was fairly successful... until Sunday. Friday we played two softball games and lost them both by the 10-run rule, LOL. Oh, well. We had fun playing them, and it's great exercise -- my legs still haven't recovered fully. After the games, we went out for wings and beer. I only had one lite beer, so I feel like I did pretty well. On Saturday, I went with a friend to a house-warming party. The people had a beautiful house with a big yard, a pool and great landscaping. Ah... someday... maybe... hopefully?! Anyway, I didn't know anyone besides my friend, and a few of his friends I had met before, but it was still pretty fun. The eating went well. The drinking, not so well. I had three beers there... the good thing, I guess, is that they were lite beers again, and since I'd eaten successfully all day, I was still around 25-30 grams of carbs for the day. Sunday was church, and we went out to a Vietnamese restaurant afterwards. I had a beef and noodle soup (?), which was really good, but obviously the noodles aren't exactly OP, but I didn't eat too many. I felt pretty good about it -- lots of veggies and beef -- a healthy option, even with the few noodles. We had softball practice on Sunday afternoon (We obviously need it... :lol: ), and I was still sore from Friday. But, I managed to loosen up after we played awhile, and I got some great exercise in (and let a LOT of sweat out... softball on a summer afternoon is crazy!). Sunday evening was where my eating got messed up! After practice (and a shower), we went out for pizza, one of my absolute favorite foods. I had three pieces. :o But, it was thin crust... does that count for anything?!? Oh, well. I love the stuff, hadn't eaten it in awhile, and I won't again for quite some time. And, I managed to pass on the ice cream that everyone else had after the pizza -- so even after a bad night of eating, that was a small victory at least. And, as far as weekends go, mine have definitely been much, much worse! This week's goals: OP, at LEAST 64 oz. water/day and exercise everyday. Let's have a great week, LC ladies! It's is great to be this close to your goal, but also very frustrating that i can't hit it exactly. I feel so much healthier now with much more energy!! Well I had a good day yesterday, I drank my 64oz water and food intake has been the best for ages. Haven't done any exersice for the past 4 weeks due to injuries sustained in a fall. I torn ligaments in my foot and twisted my back (which is probably the reason for the blip in weight gain) I can't even walk my dog at the moment! Here's to a happy Tuesday! |
Jina: Still sounds like a successful weekend!! Keep up the great work and soon you'll (and I) be cheat free for weekends :)
Tulip: I'm like the others. Can't wait to see/be as close to goal as you are. You've done a great job! And I can imagine the frustration!! I think that's one reason I had slipped up so bad (and gained a bunch of weight back). But I'm glad you showed up here to prove it IS possible :) Keep up the great work and thanks for the boot in my butt to improve :) Yesterday was good (if you don't count the LC ice cream or nuts). I had a snack attack like you wouldn't believe!! Not sure what's up with that! So I'm hoping to get DH to go to the mall (Yup, I HATE the mall) but want to do some walking and at least it won't seem as bad (maybe) in the mall. Or else I could talk him into going to Scheels. We both can spend hours walking around there!! :lol: Also need to work on the water. Think I only got 32 oz in yesterday. So need to work on increasing that. Would help if I was staying home :lol: Have a great day everyone!! |

Brenda~ going to the mall is a good idea for walking. Dh and I usually do that in the winter. Jina~ sounds like your doing good...even stopping at pizza! Dont know if I would have been able to stop :lol: Tulip~ hope your injuries heal fast, its not a nice feeling when you cant exercise and you know you should. Took dd and dgd to the beach yesterday. I dont own a bathing suit...and wont until Im at least in the 170's. Shorts and cami top works just fine for now :D We had a great time, met a family in the water from ireland. There were here for 2 weeks on vacation. When I asked why they picked Buffalo, the husband said it looked so nice on the internet and looked like there was so much to do. But he said once he got here, he realized everything was quite a ways away from buffalo. But they got over to new york, and are heading to niagara falls tomorrow, and their daughters seemed to be having a nice time. They asked how the beaches were made.....when I told them it was natural, they didnt quite believe me. I told them along the great lakes there are many natural beautiful sand beaches. Still dont think I convinced them :lol: It was nice to chat with them, very nice people. Aside from that, Im still op, and doing good. Thats about it around here....have a great day all |
Morning all
I did quite well yesterday, water intake wasn't as good as it should have been and i did have an ice cream while at the pool wiht the children!!! I forgot i shouldn't have it until it was nearly gone! How bad was that???! It just proves how complacant i have become!! I have my water cooling in the fridge as we speak and intend to get through it all today. I also am going to try to take the dog for a gentle stroal (sp?) around the park today...well you got to start somewhere!! Robin - I went to ireland last year, beautiful place, they are such friendly people, we had a warm welcome where ever we went. |
Tulip~ enjoy your stroll, its been so hot here, I dont want to walk anywhere. But I need to get my rear in gear :lol:
We are off to the beach again today. This time I am bringing my dil and all the grandkids. Should be an interesting day...Im hoping I'll be able to hold my tongue when she starts her story telling and one upmanship game :rolleyes: Ive been really good lately and keeping contact, with just the right amount of time, and getting away so I dont have to deal with her. But my dh and his son (her husband) have had to take a trip together, and we are pretty much stuck together for the next week!!! :dizzy: Wish me luck! Eating is still good...almost messed up last night (having to deal with dil) but I had 2 cheese strings instead!! Whew!! We all went out for supper last night, and I had the santa fe salad at applebee's. Im not sure of the carb count, but except for the tortilla bits mixed in that I picked most out, Im sure its not very high. So I consider it another successful day. Being at the beach all day today will help me out considerably!!! No food around to cheat on! Thats it for my neck of the woods, have a great day everyone. |
ARGHH!!! Ok, WHERE in the program did it say "screw up so that you have to start over again for the UMPTEENTH time"???? Yup, screwed up yesterday. But going to push the water for sure today so hopefully it flushes all that junk out of my system. I thought for sure I'd want MORE of it today but all I want is veggies! I am SO weird :lol3: Well, hopefully I've purged that out of my system for quite a while!!! ONWARD!!!

Tulip: Have fun with your dog at the park. What kind of dog do you have? Brenda: Good job for getting right back OP today! I had a minor slip last night, too... I ate sushi last night -- I just cannot resist the stuff. Overall, it's probably not that bad, but it entails rice. I probably didn't end up eating that much rice, but I still ate it knowingly. So, back full-force today! I'm really hoping to still get to my goal weight by the end of the year. I still think a four-pound loss per month is doable. I'm really need to get serious about this. I have been stuck at 170 for a long time, and I have been stuck around 20-25 pounds from goal for a VERY long time. Help keep me on track! Hope you all have a great Wednesday! Take care, Jina |

Water was low yesterday but food was good, managed to walk for about 30 mins in total, and not too much pain afterwards...so i'm quite pleased with myself. JD - I've got a 2yr old yorkshire terrier...nothing too taxing on the old legs lol Going to try to improve on my water intake to day...it's going to be a warm one so hopefully that will help! |
It's a dreary Thursdsay morning but you know what?? It's a nice break from the heat so I'll take it!!! Sounds like we all have a problem getting our water intake in...hm...except Jina. WAY TO GO GIRL!!!
Did good last night. So hopefully on Saturday I at least see what my Siggie says :lol: We have a wedding on Friday night so I might try and eat something before we leave. It's not a traditional wedding so not sure they'll have anything for me to eat there. That's the plan anyway!!! |
