Hope it was ok to start this...

mrskelly 10-20-2004 08:07 AM

aaahh Diff forums, diff buttons..Sry I hit the wrong button..hehee. sheesh, this feels like a Monday to me..

Well I have been a lil stressed and down a bit the past couple days, thats why I havent posted much. Hopefully in time everything here will be ok. I have been watching what I've been putting in my mouth..hehehee..not so strict tho. Just really been off track...But I didnt do so bad. I did some walking the past couple days..and prob today, also..

Hope you ladies have a good day!!

lady_adnerb 10-20-2004 08:27 AM

mrskelly: Feel free to start the daily thread anytime nobody else has :) Sorry to hear you're stressed. That doesn't help with the weight loss challenge! Just remember it takes time to learn new things. You'll get the hang of it and you'll be doing great in no time :)

Well, another day of being tired. This time because I woke up in the middle of the night w/this REALLY bad feeling. Like something was wrong. So I'm hoping for NO bad news phone calls today. Last time this happened DH's grandpa died :( The scale is only down a pound so I've got 1 more to go to get to siggie weight. And this weekend I have a GS overnighter so that'll be a bust. But I DID manage to NOT eat chocolate last night. Oh man I had this chocolate craving SOO bad....and was eyeing up the Reeses' pieces on the fridge!!!! But I was a good girl and didn't eat ANY. Yeah for me :cheer: do the happy hamster dance in a banana disguise. :cb:

jane8760 10-20-2004 08:54 AM

mrskelly: I'm sorry you feel down. We are here to help if you need anything. Stress definitely doesn't help with losing weight. Just do the best you can during the tough times.

Brenda: Oh I hate those premonition dreams! I had one the night before my dad died.....I will never forget it! Not saying anything bad is going to happen to you or yours today. Just don't walk under any ladders or piss off the cats today!

I am a bad, bad girl...I just can't seem to get back in action. They only good thing is is that I do watch what I am eating and at least try to lose whatever I gain. I suppose that is a good thing anyway. But this last 10 will never come off unless I get down to business. I will some day I know.......I like mrskelly am a bit down so that doesn't help. AND NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT THE HALLOWEEN CANDY HAS HIT THE OFFICE! :faint: God help me!

I will listen to my own advice...do the best I can.

Leenie 10-20-2004 09:38 AM

Blasted halloween candy !! phooie, I spit on YOU! :s:

Good morning ladies, Brenda and Kelly sorry to hear you guys aren't up to snuff. Its a new day, rejoyce in it!! Things will get better ;)

Jane, just think nasty thoughts when your contemplating having a piece of candy, like its really maggots inside not nuts :fr: eeeeeeeeew I even grossed myself out w/that one.

Nothing much is new here SOSDD. Got lots of stuff to do here so I better get crackin. Got into work late, I was exhausted this morning. NEED MORE SLEEP!!! :faint: lololol

Have a wonderful day ladies, love yah.

jdoggmartin 10-20-2004 10:39 AM

mrskelly: I'm sorry to hear that you are stressed. Hope things get better soon!

Brenda: Great job on losing a pound and avoiding chocolate! :cb:

Jane: Hope things get better for you soon, too! Watch out for that Halloween candy!

Leenie: I hope you're able to get some more sleep!

Well, I blew my streak of OP days last night! :( DH baked cookies. It is so hard to resist a warm cookie. I had two -- I guess it could have been much worse. Back OP today.

I am trying to decide on a costume for a Halloween party. I was thinking about Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz or Mary Ann from Gilligan's island. I wonder if I could find some stuff at thrift shops? I better hit them this weekend. Anyone else dressing up?

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Take care,
Jina

Sonnet 10-20-2004 11:32 AM

Good morning. :coffee: Everyone gets a cheerie bannana today. :D

kelly: Sorry to hear you're feeling blue. I hope you're alright and feeling better soon. :cb:

Brenda: :cb: :cb: :cb: A pound is great Brenda. You're very strong to have chocolate around and not eat it. ~~ I don't like waking up like that either. I hope everything turns out ok from that.

Jane: Sorry to hear you're a bit down. I hope you're feeling better. You're heading in the right direction with watching what you eat--That's great! :cb:

Leenie: Hi Leenie! :cb:

Jina: Two cookies. You're still strong to stop at two. :cb: Glad you're back OP.

I'm not dressing up for Halloween. We're going to go RVing like we did last year. I could dress up like a chipmonk or squirrel and run about the woods.

Nothing new here, but I'm happy I lost the 2 lb. salt bloat. lol

Have a nice day everyone!

marie. 10-20-2004 12:14 PM

:jig: :jig: Happy Humpday ladies!

Mrs. K-Worry and stress are interest paid before it's due....at least thats what the sign by my church says :D Hope everything picks up....

Brenda- Whoo-hoo! now ya need a cool street name..."Brenda OP" ok, now we need a gang sign...how about the motion of swatting a McDonalds cheese burger to the ground! :jig: :jig:

Jane- Please tell me theres no candy corn.....cuz if there is I'm comin over.

Leenie- Thanks Leen...you effectively skeeved me for the day with that candy analogy...of course, reading on MSN today that the new rage in Peru these days is roasted Guinea pig kinda started THAT ball rolling.

Jina- I'm dressing up- I ordered cheer uniforms for my squad again this year and I have some that were never worn from last year in my size....So, Im going to be a cheer leader- I had a halloween party years ago where I had a tribe of african warriors show up at the front door...and a group of KKK at the back ( all costumes)...they met in the middle and started dancing together  but the best costume that year was a girl who had high heels with one heel gone, torn dirty stockings, a dress with rips and burn holes in it...her hair was teased up all wild with dry ice in it so it was smoking, her skin was green, and she had on these glasses that had been boiled so they had all these melted, runny places and all out of shape.....she was the secretary from Chernobyl. :lol3:

Sonnet- where do you RV? I'm going to a pumpkin carving party in West Hollywood. The worst part about it is there will be many, many girls 100 times more beautiful than me there...and the kicker is, they'll all be men :p

Sonnet 10-20-2004 12:42 PM

Hi Marie, We like to go to the Oregon Coast the best, mainly since it's not that far from home and nice and cool. We only have a 24' travel trailer...very small, but all the mini-comforts of home. :coffee:

StarPrincess 10-20-2004 01:13 PM

Hello, Chickies!

It's been a while, but things are good.

 mrskelly! I have't met you yet.

Brenda - good job last night!!! But what I want to know is why you have chocolate in the house. That would be death for me!

Jane - Poor girl! Maybe not working right now isn't such a bad thing after all. No junk to worry about. Of course, for me, the temptation isn't the candy, it's potatoes and pasta and you don't see much of that sitting on desks for people to take and snack on

Leenie - That was gross!!! I'm gonna remember that the next time I want tortellini ;)

Jina - I killed myself on lc chocolate chip cookie dough last week. I never even baked any of it! :o Thank goodness for starting fresh yet again! I'm definitely dressing up for Halloween. I got a black fairy dress from hot topic and am going as Tinkerbell gone bad

Sonnet - Where on the coast?? You know, TG and I both live very clost to certain parts of the Oregon coast....

Marie - OMG I want to go to that party in west Hollywood! What a blast!

Have any of you seen the movie Mean Girls? (highly recommend it!) There's a comment made during the movie that Halloween is the one time of year that a girl can dress like a total slut and no one can say anything about it. Maybe that's why I like the holiday so much!!!

Not much new here. Still not working and as a result, shopping wayyyyyyy too much! But I guess it's better than sitting on the couch all day. What I really should be doing though is getting some exercise. I've been slacking off in that department and I'm really feeling it lately. :p

Puppy is still in the sandbox, but I get to talk to him almost every day on IM. I still miss him to death, but the frequent contact makes it easier. I keep asking him what he'd like me to send him in a care package and all he ever tells me is beer and porn. Ugh! Men!

Well, I'm off like a prom dress. Have a good day everyone!

marie. 10-20-2004 01:30 PM

Hey skinny! I showed DH your pic on your profile the other day and he said he "reckoned ya done good" ( high praise in the southern states)

I have some pics of the last West Hollywood halloween...sometimes it's hard being only average in a room full of beautiful Divas...with penises
This will be Dales first time...Im a little worried for him--He's a handsome guy and the queens will be ALL over that...oh well, a country boy can survive I guess.

jane8760 10-20-2004 02:00 PM

StarPrincess: OMG Your new avatar is just gorgeous! Did you go red? You really look fabulous. We miss you around here.....GET A JOB! Glad everything is going well.

Marie: I'm afraid that there is Candy Corn. I for one can't stand that stuff so you can have it all....you will have to fight one of my co-workers for it though. She is a freak about that stuff!

Sonnet: I would be careful about dressing up like an animal and prancing around in the woods. You don't want some hunter sneaking up on you now!

Jina: Not dressing up......never really liked to. I am just an old fuddy duddy. Couple of people in the office do though....usually pretty funny.

Funny, this just reminded me of when I was younger and used to trick or treat. I have 4 brothers and one of them used to send me out and then when I got back he would change my costume and send me out again! The neighbors used to just look at me funny! He of course would get the extra candy. My oldest brother would drive me to a development so that I could hit more houses. I was exausted by the time I got home. One time on the main road some kids egged his car....he stopped the car, left me in it and ran after the kids. I was so little I just sat there and cried! And he was supposed to be taking care of me...yeah right!

jdoggmartin 10-20-2004 02:05 PM

Sonnet: Glad you lost the salt bloat! :D I like the squirrel or chipmunk costume idea.

Marie: What a Halloween party! Have fun! :cb:

Star: What a fabulous new photo! You look great! Love the Halloween costume, too.

lady_adnerb 10-20-2004 02:43 PM

Jane: I'm following you on this one. The last 10 are a doozy!!! Why can't it be as easy as the first 10  You'll get there soon :)

Leenie: Don't ya just LOVEEE halloween time? I'm lucky the bosses don't put halloween candy out. I do my best to stay away from the jar of thin mints and jolly ranchers. But oh that in itself can be hard some days!!

Jina: You just made me wish I was going somewhere that I needed to dress up. lol. But I'm never very original so I'd be whatever was handy at the store. Have fun!

Sonnet: congrats on the 2 pound weight loss. And RV'ing sounds like fun!! Enjoy!

Marie: Should I mention I have (or had) a bag of candy corn here the other day? lol

Star: I've seend Mean Girls...and even had to go and buy the book that the movie was written from (Queen Bee's and Wannabee's). Made the girls watch it. I had to laugh at that part in the movie--cuz it's the ONE time of year ANYONE can be what they wanna be  I have chocolate in the house for the daughters. Actually. Truthfully? I bought it last weekend planning on splurging on it (and the oreo's)--ate the oreo's and forgot they were on the fridge  your picture looks great!!!

Well, I think I've caught up on the gossip for today so I should get back to the GS stuff and get it ready for the meeting. I went to wal-mart and stocked up on LC chocolate. Figured if I needed to give in to the urge it's going to be LC!!

Sonnet 10-20-2004 03:23 PM

Hi Star, You look great in your Avatar. Oh, that's right. I've read where you and TG lived in Oregon somehwere. We mostly go to anywhere in the Southern area; we're closest there. Then Humbug Mountain, the Bandon area and when we come up as far as Florence or beyond, we've only stayed beach resorts so far since we've only had the trailer for two years. We almost moved to Tigard. We love that entire area. :) If I don't have rain, I think i'll wilt. We've spent many summers north and into Olymic National Forest and on through Canada, but that was quite a while ago.

Brenda: Thanks for the congrats. Have fun with the GS.

Jane: I'll be careful scurrying about, but I'm more likely to fall out of the tree on my own.

Jina: I think Dorothy or Mary Ann sounds like a cute idea. I think anything with blue and white checks would look like a Dorothy. I saw a costume online for her a few days ago. It was a blue and white very short shift-type jumper with a white tee-shirt under it. She has on thigh-high white stockings (the kind that stay up on their own) and red shiney shoes. It was cute.
