Tuesday Chat 10/19
Well, back to being OP. How come I can't get it right during the weekend? Someone said it'd be easier just staying home and I completely agree!! I could stay OP if I stayed home. But I go to my moms' house and for some reason it's like telling myself "Ok, it's ok to cheat here." ARGH!!! Someone sew my mouth shut for another 10 pounds worth! :dizzy:

Good Morning,
Brenda, I don't know what it is about the weekend. I guess when our routine is broken we have a hard time. It just feels like the weekend is down time, party time. Let loose time and relax about everything. Maybe I should work sat & sun... NOT! What a night. I got up around 10 pm, sat on the couch, put the computer on, was sitting in pitch black b/c I didn't want to wake anyone up. DD lets out a blood curtling scream, I hurry to get up, basically throw my computer on the floor, went from a blaring lit screen to pitch black w/out the old eyeballs adjusting and BANG!!! I ran right into the corner post with has 4 pointy corners. I hit it w/my chin and I thought I had lost a few teeth. So I managed to run up the stairs in the dark, although I think the stars :stars: circuling my head lit the way :dizzy: calmed DD down, which was just a night mare. THen I ran down stairs for ice, my chin was bleeding and my entire jaw was throbing OY VEY!!! I slept prob 3 hours with an ice pack on my face. Talk about pain. Thank God I did b/c this morning there's only a little swelling and yes a big ol bruse. I am thankful thats all it was and that I didn't gouge my eye out. Lesson learned....lights stay on LOLOL DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt so stupid LOL Well its a rainy tuesday, I'm here at work :D Life is good ;) Whats up with everyone today? |
Oh Leenie that is awful!!!!! You are lucky you didn't break anything. I hope it heals up fast. Please put some lights on next time. And....I take it you still aren't sleeping that well?
Brenda: Oh the weekends........I know I would do better if I stayed home. I think I am going to start renting a movie and making dinner on Saturday nights. I figure I can make something fancy or fun just like if we went out...like chinese except this time I could have it low carb and I have my low carb maiti mix too! :D Well, I am sick and tired of not having anything nice to wear  This time of year is so tough. Not cold enough to wear a sweater and too cold to wear a t-shirt. I wish I had enough money to get someone to pick out my clothes for me and they would all look FABULOUS. I could get up and just pick whatever out of the closet and not keep changing 8 million times! Going straight home tonight....I have some sewing to do and damn it I am going to get it done! Geez. |
Hi Jane,
I hate not having nice stuff to wear too. My body is so hard to buy anything nice for. I have a huge belly and it goes all the way around. So if I get a shirt and it fits around the stomach, that means the boob area and shoulders are to big. I always look sloppy. My pants are horrible too. My legs are thinner so if I get pants to fit around the belly, the legs are usually sooooooo baggy. I can't win. :( Even with that virtual model on the HSN. Egads, nothing looks nice on that thing either. Its wonderful you can sew. Your right I'm so lucky I didn't break anything. Right now my chin is throbing and I have no ice. Lordy its gonna be a long day. My ear is burning :faint: LOLOL |
The funny thing is Leenie that being able to sew hasn't helped me any lately either.....I have made a couple of things and all I do is keep having to make adjustments after adjustments. God only knows what size the things are at this point! I think I just have to make it till x-mas and then I can sew more stuff and take my time.
Haven't been really impressed with what is in the stores this season either! Does anyone at work have a ziplock bag? If you have a fridge with some ice cubes in it at work you can fill the bag with cubes. Take some Aleve or Advil too...that will help with the swelling! This is from one who too fell on her face once!!!!!! |
Morning Everyone!
Brenda: Good Luck with staying OP I know you can do it! Jane: I know how you feel about the clothes. Seems that I have nothing that fits right anymore! Hope you have a great day! Leenie: OUCH!!!!!! Hope you are feeling better very soon! Remember girly, next time turn on some lights! How did you dr's appt go yesterday? Good I hope! I couldn't imagine having to have those test done. I hate needles! I have to have a shot in 2 weeks and am dreading it already! I am such a baby when it comes to that! Hope the alergies are goine soon! Well, nothing new here! Same ole same ole! I have not been getting much sleep, so it's hard for me to get on here in the morning to say hello to everyone! I wish these darn baseball games would hurry up and end! Seems like every night it's a long game, and I can't go to bed til they are over! Hopefully tonight will be the last night this week, and then only one more to go! I so love baseball, but I love my sleep also! At least I'm just laying there watching it! The baby kicks the whole time. It's so much fun! Well, off to work, and I'll check in a little later! Have a great day everyone! Lisa |
Brenda: Weekends are SO tough! This weekend was my first OP weekend in a very long time, and I felt like I could conquer anything after I got through the weekend OP. Sad, but true...
Leenie: Ow! I hope you get to feeling better soon. That sounds so painful. And, I'm with the others -- lights next time! Jane: I keep hoping that if I lose some weight, clothes will look decent on me. I wonder if that will be the case? Or will we still change five different times before we are OK with an outfit? MrsH: I know what you mean about those late baseball games! I love baseball, too, so I've been up watching all the games, but these five-hour games are getting ridiculous! We just need the Yankees to win tonight, so we won't have to worry about that series anymore! :D Another day, another day OP! This is getting scary! I can't believe I am still going strong. This is exactly what I need, though. I've been messing around with these last 26 pounds for way too long! Yesterday, I had to keep score at DH's softball game. They really are fun to watch, but the girls that come to watch are so immature and annoying. I think most of you know that DH and I have had our share of problems, and he dated a few girls during our rough times. Well, one of the girls he works with thought it would be cute to "accidentally" call me his ex-girlfriend's name. Argh! It took all I had to sit there and just ignore her. I knew if I said anything, it would get ugly. Gosh! It's hard enough to be trying to work out our problems on our own, I sure don't need immature girls he works with reminding me of all the bad things that have happened. Anyway, that put a damper on the night. Then, the Yankees lost and that put even more of a damper on the evening. :( Hope you all have a great Tuesday! Take care, Jina |
Don't forget girls..........I live in Red Sox territory!
|
Brenda- I have the same problem when I go visit my Dad-He has a beautiful house on the beach, but since his wife died last year he's lonely, so he drinks too much ( and me along with him) and wants to go down to Malibu for dinner every night and I go home feeling bloated and hungover every time
Leenie-OWW!You poor thing! I had a similar about 4 years ago- short version: New hardwood floor, too much polish, midnight, winter, socks, running, sharp turn, kitchen counter, two teeth gone, the end. Jane-same here...luckily, Im a sucker for winter velvets, which hide a multitude of sins and my closet is full of it....Im telling all you ladies, we need to bring back the mall section where we could trade things! I have a ton of stuff, a lot of it new that just hangs in my closet!....Leenie, any forum rules against that? Lisa- Sounds like that little girl is doing a seventh inning stretch! Jina-Never could figure out why women always feel the need to sh*tstir and be so cruel to each other....I try to be so supportive of other women, but unfortunately if I get pushed, Im a "punch first, ask questions later " type :^: well, Im starting french lessons :o DH and I are going back to Paris next summer and I'm bound and determined to speak the language next time I arrive...that way I'll know if those frenchies are callin me fat :lol3: |
Hey again,
Lisa, the allergy testing is a breeze, they only prick your skin (no real needle) with what ever they are trying to see if you are allergic to, such as trees, dust, etc., I have a series to go thru so next week they will do more. So far I'm allergic to 6 of the 8 that they did yesterday. Trees, Molds and Dust. I'm not alergic to grass...well hot dang  thanks for asking. Glad you and babygirl are doing good :D Jina, that woman who called you the wrong name needs to be slapped upside the head. You should have accidently smacked her LOL !!!! Imature isn't the word. Marie, french lessons, ohh la la fun wee wee ~ :goodluck: if any of them call you fat, get their address and give it to me, I'll get a few Joisey buddies (Vinnie, Guedo, Tony, Lucky Louie) over there to kick their croissants ;) jk. Back to work for me :( |
Joisey buddies! :lol3:
You want I should take care of that for yuz? :lol3: |
What!!!....You mean Vido's busy that weekend???
|
Leenie: Haven't you ever heard of nightlights? I've got them EVERYWHERE!! Of course, take my glasses off and I'd be running into walls and stuff. Hope you're doing ok and it gets better!!!
Jane: What is it with clothes lately? Mine aren't fitting right either. I'm lucky I don't have to dress up (and don't usually like to) so I can wear jeans and t-shirts to work. But they're fitting odd. Makes me want to buy sweatpants and oversized t-shirts again. Lisa: You just relax and enjoy your time w/the baby. Once the baby's born you won't have much leisure time  Jina: You should have walked up to the witch and slapped her and said "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were so-and-so." Marie: French lessons sounds like so much fun! I have a hard time w/English so I can't imagine trying to learn another language! Well, another day of being tired. I didn't sleep well last night. I even went to bed early. Maybe that's why? We keep getting these phone calls "vote for" and it's either a Bush or Kerry campaign. I'm getting kind of sick of it. lol. I'm supposed to be working on GS stuff for the meeting tomorrow. But for some reason my printer won't print. So I've gotta figure that problem out. GRR!!! |
Good morning ladies,
I am still in stomach flu central, taking a break from the festivities!! :) Today though the boys are feeling a bit better, I need to go to the store so bad but can't leave the kids, all my good LC stuff is gone!! Oh well tomorrow is another day and hopefully will be OP!! Have great day. i will be back soon!! Love TG |
TG: Glad they're feeling better :) Try and take care of yourself in between taking care of them so you don't get it!!
