Keep one meal/food

If you could keep ONE meal or a certain food and it NOT count as a carb...what would it be??

For me?? CHOCOLATE!!!!! :dizzy:

jdoggmartin 10-13-2004 02:11 PM

Now pizza sounds good. But not chocolate covered either. lol

jdoggmartin 10-13-2004 04:36 PM

Marie: I didn't think anyone else liked those things. I absolutely love them -- so tasty! I always grossed everyone out by eating them, though. I tell you, some people just don't know what they're missing out on!

marie. 10-13-2004 04:45 PM

HA! fellow peanutphile!....I like to leave them open so they get chewy....my Grandma used to always have bags....

jdoggmartin 10-13-2004 04:49 PM

I like to smoosh them down flat, and then eat them. YUM! My grandma is a big fan of them, too.

Theo'sgirl 10-13-2004 04:58 PM

My grandma was FAMOUS for her fudge!! I haven't tasted it since I was in 6th grade before she died but I can still taste it melting in my mouth!!!

As for favorite meals: well of course Krispy Kreme's or a pecan cluster blizzard from DQ is what usually kills me, or Teryaki chicken SMOTHERED in Teriyaki sauce from Du's grill by my house or the Indian buffet at Swagat I can NEVER say no to, and I can always talk myself into eating it, I am sooooooo bad!

marie. 10-13-2004 05:31 PM

TG- you can be my DH partner in crime...he is a krispy kreme FREAK....and no lie...he will eat a whole dozen...me, that make me mad-If I'm havin a doughnut I want a 16 pound one i can really get my teeth into! not those little air filled things :D

lady_adnerb 10-13-2004 08:00 PM

lol@a 16 pound donut. NOW we're talking!!
Can you believe I've never had a krispie creme?

Sonnet 10-13-2004 08:33 PM

Extra sour dough french bread. yum, even plain with no butter. this way I could still make pizza OP if I wanted to. :)

Maybe we could have a trader's club with this stuff, even those orange peanuts are good. I've never had a Crispie Creme doughnut either. Of course I have to stay away from them all together. I have to have 6 to make it worth a cheat. :o

You need to come to Jersey. Our local grocery store makes donuts that weigh about two pounds each. I sware, they are so heavy and loaded with filling its incrediable. Its funny to watch people eat them. Sunday mornings when I go grocery shopping I have to steer clear of them, which is hard b/c the bakery is the first thing you walk into when you enter the store OMG...they are hot and fresh too.

Krispy Kreme ICK! thats a booger compaired to a Jersey donut :D

Don't waste your calories on them, trust me!!!! Like Marie said "nuthin but air there"

Mrs H 10-14-2004 07:50 AM

Geez: Ya'll sure do know how to make a pregnant woman go crazy. All this Krispy Kreme talk! The one thing I would have to say I would keep would be my MIL's homemade chocolate pie! Guess what? I have one in the refridgerator right now  That's really the only thing I have craved since I have been pregnant and she makes me one whenever I mention it. Such a sweet lady!!!

I love those orange circus peanuts too! Now I'm wanting some of them

Lisa

lady_adnerb 10-14-2004 08:43 AM

Lisa: I used to crave bbq potato chips. Every night DH would bring home a bag and I'd gobble it down---none for him. lol He was always SOOO sweet :)

Mrs H 10-15-2004 12:35 AM

LOL I know what you mean Brenda. One thing that I did crave at the beginning was Twix candy bars. They were the only thing that did not make me sick when I had such bad morning sickness. DH would bring me one every night on his way home from work. He still does occassionally (maybe once a week). He's such a sweetie during this!!!!

Lisa

marie. 10-15-2004 01:26 AM

phhhfffttt...they got it easy...I craved sno-cones...and both my daughters were born in January! :)

Leenie 10-15-2004 08:25 AM

I didn't have one particular craving...when I saw food on TV then I craved it (some things never change). It was something different every dang day LOL.

I did eat ALOT of Pnut M&M's (still do :( )

lady_adnerb 10-15-2004 08:48 AM

hmm....DH never made a special trip if I had a craving in the middle of the night though. Does he get points deducted for that??

Leenie 10-15-2004 09:07 AM

Do you remember the I Love Lucy episode when she was pregnant and lying in bed w/a craving for ice cream mixed w/sardines. Poor Rickie had to run out like 2 am and then when he watched her eat it he was ready to hurl.

That was such a great show.

Theo'sgirl 10-15-2004 10:38 AM

I craved applesauce, ham and cheese hot pockets, bean burritos from taco bell, hot chocolate with mint syrup and starbucks choclate crossaints. DH hated me when i was preg. I would want something and order it and then by the time it got to the table I didn't want it anymore, or I had to leave cause the smell was yucky, he brought most of his dinners home in a doggy bag in those months!! ahahahaha

HEY don't knock the Krispy Kremes MAN!!! More air less calories!! ahahahaha :)
