Good Morning,

Oh its gonna be a fun day. I get to see my doctor (routine) at 6:30 am, yup, and I'm not his first patient :fr: Then when I get to work at 8 am, I get to sit in a stinkin meeting until noon. EGADS!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I better get to bed eh

So happy happy hump day.

Rachel, I'm so glad your joining the TG challenge. The longer you stay away from those nasty LC chocolates, the better chance you have of losing. One taste of them for me just kept me wanting more and more, not to mention the wicked gas I got from it.........ick! Brenda know's what I'm talking about (ice cream  )

Lisa, 14 weeks to go...WOW!!! I know your excited. Enjoy the pregnancy and get LOTS of sleep !!!! NOW ;)

TG :bravo: on being OP !!!!

Janie ;)

Marie I bet by the weekend, DH's face will be fully grown. If not, tell him he can always have the hair on my legs (eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww LOLOL ROFL snort !!! jk ..... its long enuf ;) ) Sorry no arm pit hair here...gotta draw the line some where, besides thats one place that is always hairless.
Like you all wanted to know that...sorry its late.

Okay off to bed I go...sheesh.

HUGS

Gotta tell you this gross halloweeenie costume I made a few years ago.

I was invited to an adult halloween party one year, back in my swelt days ;) so I made myself a cave woman costume. I teased my hair to look really wild, blacked out my teeth, made my face dirty looking. The kicker was, I glued tons of really long curly black doll hair to a pair of stocking so it looked like I had extremely hair legs....but it didn't stop there. I glued a bunch of hair in a pair of underware, it stuck out every where, so when I flashed people it looked like....... well you know....it was LONG!!!!!!!!!! and gross, but funny. I also glued hair inside the arm pits of my cave woman dress (kinda like Fred Flintstones outfit).

The drunker we got, the more the guys wanted me to flash them :fr:

:s:

okay thats my war story......... good night.

jane8760 10-13-2004 08:16 AM

Leenie: !!!!!!!!!!What are you doing up at that hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you ok?
Love the costume story  As I was reading it I was afraid the ending was going to be that you ended up the ER for gluing hair to your armpits!

Well, for me...........NO MORE MESSIN AROUND. I am getting back to business. Yes I am up a few and I have changed my signature so that I can look at it each time I feel like going off the wagon. I need the structure of this plan. I also don't enjoy being hungry and with this WOE I hardly ever was. I don't think I can manage the TG Challenge .....too much pressure for me. Let's see what I can do

I am still battling this cold....not too bad actually. It just can't make up it's mind if it wants to be a chest cold or a head cold. Yesterday it was a chest cold today it appears to be a head cold. Just likes to keep my guessing I suppose.

Have a great day all.

Good Morning everyone.

Leenie, Funny Halloween story. So what are you planning to do this year, LOL? Thank you again for starting the TG challenge and warning of the LC chocolates. I am happy to report that I stayed OP yesterday. Plus I had a treat last night, Pomegranates. I love them. I hate preparing them. But once I get all the skins off I can eat and eat and eat. But before I started, I checked the carb content (26g total; 1g fiber) so I was able to easily stop myself when I had half of it. Also I started putting my food in Fitday again so that I can be sure that I am not cheating myself. Yesterday I had 1220 calories with 35g carbs.

Jane, I am sure you can manage the TG challenge, easily, I just think that this is your cold talking, LOL. You have to give yourself time to get over this cold and then I can see you strong in avoiding all things non healthy. I don’t know about you but I have zero tolerance for pain and when something is not right with me I get so cranky and lose all self power. I hope that you feel better real soon. Try to get lots of rest.

Have a wonderful and cheat free day everyone.

lady_adnerb 10-13-2004 08:33 AM

Leenie: The docs around here don't even DREAM of seeing patients at 6:30. Their offices don't even OPEN until 8:00!!!! That halloween costume sounds SOOO funny. Any pics by chance??
Ohh.....the ice cream. Man, I can feel THAT already. Tastes good going in...but doesn't feel good coming out

Jane: Hope your cold gets better soon!! I've been thinking I should just keep my siggie at the higher weight. Seems I make it back to that 143 constantly. ARGH! Feel better soon!!

Well, another day OP. Then woke up this morning. Had the youngest all waiting for her bus...and then the NEED for the bathroom appeared. :( I like putting the kids on the bus and she was all upset cuz I wasn't there. ARGGHH!! My behind STILL is feeling the effects. I get this way a couple days AFTER I go off carbs. It's like it's purging the rest  Of course....I feel like I could go ALL day :( And I have a dentist appt at 11 so hopefully the feeling goes away. Maybe I should pop a pepto bismal pill!! Oh...and the headache's still here (along w/the runny nose). So maybe I'm actually sick??? Interesting concept. Are moms allowed?

lady_adnerb 10-13-2004 08:35 AM

Rachel: Congrats on staying OP and keeping away from the chocolates. :)

Leenie 10-13-2004 09:49 AM

Brenda, I think I have a picture of that costume here at work... let me look

Theo'sgirl 10-13-2004 10:58 AM

OMG!!! LEENIE!!! I gotta see a picture of that costume!! hahahahaha :)

B- Yes mom's are allowed to be sick but your family probably won'th think so!! ahahaha :)

Jane: Just do the best you can we are just happy you are still with us!

Rachel: Keep up the great work!!! Your motivation is an inspiration!!! :)

Wel I have been back OP for 2 days now and feeling great, just waiting for this dang cold to go away so I can get back to the gym, I feel all ready to go in mind and spirit but my lungs are telling a different story!! hahahaha :)

Have a great day!!

Love Tg

jane8760 10-13-2004 11:03 AM

TG: Thanks.....I am still with you all! It is so important to have this place to come to. We all know what it is like and this board allows us a way to get and give support like no other. I hope you feel better soon. Aren't colds the worse!

Rachel: You can have 35 grams and still lose! I wish.....:( You have done so well. I know you are better at exercising than I am....and now you have your "new" exercise partner ;)

jdoggmartin 10-13-2004 11:25 AM

Leenie: We definitely have to see pictures of you in that costume, you crazy lady! :D

Brenda: Great job for staying OP -- sorry about the tummy troubles. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Jane: I'm glad you're sticking with us! I'm like you -- I love not feeling starved and the structure of this plan -- I need it, too.

Rachel: You are doing so fabulously!! Congratulations!!

Well, I think my muscles have finally recovered from hours of tennis on Sunday. I was so sore on Monday AND Tuesday. I really didn't know I would get so sore from playing tennis. I used to play it a lot, but I guess I was used to using all of those muscles then. Anyway, I think I am playing again tonight. I hope to start playing it on a more regular basis. I found a friend who loves to play, so it's fun exercise.

Thank goodness the weekend has passed, and I can get back on track. Weekends are really ugly. The goal this weekend is stay strictly OP. I'll be visiting my dad, and that really helps me out -- he keeps me accountable. Hopefully, once I make it through one weekend, I can make it through them all! Of course, I'm going camping in two weeks, and what's camping without s'mores??? So many challenges!!

Hope you all have a great Wednesday!

Take care,
Jina

Morning!

Leenie-LOL! the other day the DH was with some of his friends ( who are cowboys) and they were talking about how if a horse starts to grow longer hair now, it means the winter will be colder.....Dale said to them ( and yes he confessed before they could tell on him) " well, I dont have a horse so I just look at the hair on Maries legs." :jig: :jig: Trust me, it would not have been funny to me except that Im a genetic freak, my Dad is N.A. and my Mom is Russian...and through some freak Gene, I dont have any hair, except on my head.....and when I say none, imagine a 9 year old girl :o

Jane- those late summer colds are notorious for their reappearance! feel better! :dizzy:

Rachael- my Moms makes great pomegranate jelly! :encore:

Brenda- Ahhhh....that familiar feeling....it happens to me if I eat jalapenos on something...sometimes I do it on purpose!

TG- yeah, not being able to breathe might hinder that workout! ;)

Jina- Whats life in eneral without smores is what I'm sayin

2 more miles on the treadmill this morning ad so far today so good....couse, it's only 9:30 ;)

I think we oughta think up a reward trip....so many pounds lost and we meet up somewhere cool and exciting and show off!

oh! one more thing, but not important enough to start a thread over....heres my question, say I make a crock pot meal ( or oven bake or whatever) it's some kind of meat , say chicken and potatoes ( for the family)....do I have to worry about the carbs from the potatoes if they are cooked together?? especially in a crockpot where it makes a kind of a gravy? guess what Im saying is, does the "smed" from the potatoes get on my chicken and cause a significant carb count even if I dont actually EAT any of the potatoes? is that confusing?

jane8760 10-13-2004 01:25 PM

hhhmmmm good question.....I am going to take a stab at it and say yes it matters....somewhat. Probably because the startches come out and get into the meat????? Let's find an expert somewhere!

lady_adnerb 10-13-2004 01:31 PM

Leenie: I'm still waiting for that picture!! lol

TG: Congrats on staying OP. Any way you can do a bike exercise? W/out exerting yourself TOO much anyway. Would that cause problems?

Jina: good luck staying away from the smores. I'm not a big s'more eater. I usually only have 1. Now pudgie pies?? THAT is a different story!! And it's kind of hard to stay OP when we're used to eating a certain way--like for camping. I'm beginning to think there are just going to be SOME days you CAN'T stay OP.

Marie: OMG what I wouldn't GIVE to not have to shave my legs all the time!! You truly ARE a lucky woman! As for the potatoes and meat in the same crock...I think it sucks up some of the juice and carb count is higher. Not as high as if you ate the taters...but still more than plain meat. Then again...I could be wrong

Leenie 10-13-2004 03:57 PM

I FOUND IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sigh, that was MANY pounds ago. Its dark so I hope you can see it.

Jane you are so right !!!

PLEASE !!!

No matter how much you lose, no matter how much you gain, no matter how many times you start AGAIN, don't ever feel that you shouldn't post (because of any reason). Support is about the good days, yes, and the not so good days. Support is more than that nasty 4 letter word "diet" I don't even care if you switch plans, it just doesn't matter, what matters is us helping each other.

Support = Friendship and friends stay thick no matter what happens.
