LOL - Sometimes it's just easier to stay home.........oh great now I sound like a party pooper......Star
|
lol....you sound exactly like ME!!! It IS easier staying home. No (or not much) temptation as you can make what you know you can eat. And you don't have to worry "will they have something OP or will I have to wait til I get home to eat....or give in and eat what they're making."
|
LOL! I was SUCH a pain when I started this
DH: Honey...want to go to the mall? Me: WHY??? I can't EAT anything there! |
I stay away from the mall....OMG Panda Express and Jamba Juice I don't think i could resist!
|
Hum.....Mall - I go usually with my mom and I CAN'T eat POP around her (she's one of those women that wear aprons). Matter of fact, if you go to my mom's house and don't want to eat something - you'd have to knock her over the head with a skillet.....LOL
By the way, I just ran to the mall at lunch, had to pick up shoe repair. Anyhow I was trying on some yoga pants and I noticed my mouth piece wasn't in my mouth. (costing $500 I want to keep tabs on it). Then I was trying to remember if I left it on my desk after I ate or if I took it out at a store while talking to someone (DH said I should take it out when speaking in public)? So I'm thinking this thing is a pain in my as_. I don't think someone at my age should have to worry about this kind of stuff? Anyhow here it is on my desk laying on a yellow sticky note for the world to see.....tee-hee... |
Hmm..and you shouldn't speak in public with it in why?? Are you not going to speak in public w/braces on? And don't forget...you'll be wearing a retainer for the REST OF YOUR LIFE :P and believe me...talking with THAT in takes skills!!

Happy Dance it's FRIDAY
:dancer: :coffee:
Brenda, Thanks alot for all the "good news" about braces  Well DH just isn't use to my minor lisp. Besides I only listen to him when he gives good advice  I guess I haven't thought about the actual braces causing a lisp too, do they :dunno: As for having to wear a retainer for the rest of my life, I thought that was only at night, but I'm not sure about that either :?: I suppose I should have a longer talk with my ortho :gossip: Had a great workout :strong: this morning. One of the regular guys gave me a huge compliment :o That started my day off great, even though it's :rain: here. Well I guess I need to get started (again) on our ISO audit..... :( (HUGS) to all you chicks - later..... |
Hello - Is anyone out there? Wanted to share my loss, I'm down 20.4 now, it has taken me a long time, but I feel great........
How are you guys doing? (((HUGS))) |
Sorry Star. I hadn't realised this was here!! I'm used to new posts showing up dark black and this didn't. CONGRATS on the weight loss!! You're doing great and have every right to be proud!!! You should go to the daily chat and share your success there!! Bet people would like to hear how you did it :)
While you have braces there won't be a lisp (been there. didn't do that. ) . "Back when I wore braces" Anyway, back then you were supposed to wear them all day & night for I don't remember how long and then didn't have to wear them again. Only now they've realised you need to keep wearing them because your teeth can still shift. As for only needing to wear them at night? maybe they've changed that ruling also. Be prepared when you first get your braces on....your mouth is going to hurt (take an advil or 2 before going) and they'll cut your lips up (so get some chapstick) on the inside. We used to get wax from the ortho and stick them over the brackets. Not sure what they use now. And every month when they adjust it? If you're "normal" you won't feel like eating anything except soft foods. I was abnormal and ate cookies and apples. Hard stuff---wanted to get my teeth to shift ASAP so made sure to eat hard stuff so it'd move faster. Worked :) |
