Okay, I can't stand my excitedness !!!!!

I want to stand on top of the world and shout this !!

My sister was at my house on Saturday (for my party) and she always weighs herself on my scale b/c her's doesn't go that high.

She told me that she had lost another 10 lbs making it a total of.......drum roll......................................

100 BIG FAT POUNDS!!!

Now she's the BOMB !!!!

I am so proud of her I could bust... she went from 390 lbs (I think she was more to tell you the truth) to 290 lbs and she's going ever so strong !!!! I'm finally getting my sister back and HEALTHY!!!!!!

Congrats to you and your sister. I wish I could find a way to motivate my sis to do something about her weight. She's more than 100 pounds over weight and I worry about her health and afraid she'll die from it.

Laura, its something she must do for herself. My sister, I believe was over 400 lbs for almost 20 years. I don't know what happened in her mind to make her start but I thank GOD it did.

I wish all of your sisters could hear how happy you are when they take care of themselves, and how worried you are about their health, and that they could understand that your comments aren't about competitiveness or about criticism, but about genuine concern.

My sister has 50+ pounds to lose. She is sendentary, I know she drinks and smokes a lot. She is so sensitive about her size that she cannot acknowledge my recent weight loss of a bit more than 30 pounds, and she makes disparaging comments about "fat people" constantly. She recently told me that people who attend weight-loss meetings (which I do) are "just whiny." I know this is about her weight, and not about mine. I just wish that she could hear how sad it makes me that she's so insecure and unhappy, and how open I am to helping her figure out some steps to make toward becoming more healthy.
