Looks like I'm the first one here. Well, I'm starting to feel less bloated. But still gas-y. What a feeling! UGH. Not sure what's up w/that. Other than that, stupid ice cream!!! Lol. I told DH from now on if I tell him I want ice cream to tell me to go have pistacchios or something else instead. Starting Tuesday I'm hoping to have the icecream out of the house anyway. My hopes for rain are dashed-looks like the weather's supposed to be decent. So looks like I'll be pitching a tent and sleeping at my parents house. I've gotta get the girls new sleeping bags. Theirs are the character ones and starting to break apart. I'm actually looking forward to Tuesday. Let's see if I can break my record of going more than 3 days on induction

rachelearth 07-01-2004 09:16 AM

Good Morning.

Brenda: Have fun this weekend. And I know you can do it, beat your record of 3 days induction. Look at what you have accomplished, 30 pounds is no easy task.

Well I am looking forward to the weekend. I still have plans to get myself a new bike and ride it, LOL. It seems the weather is going to be great. Is it Friday yet?

jane8760 07-01-2004 09:30 AM

Mornin Ladies!

Brenda: Sleeping outside in a sleeping bag! :fr: Give me a good hotel anyday!

Rachel: We are supposed to have great weather I guess this weekend. I heard maybe some clouds on Sunday but they said the fireworks should go off as planned. Since you are in Boston...do you go to the Esplanade for the show?

Well, when I went to the Orthopedist the other night he said it was bursitis...just as I thought. Got the big old shot in my shoulder :fr: WOW that is not much fun...but not as bad as everyone says. My shoulder still aches a little but at least I am not getting the sharp pains I had before.
He also said that I have a bone spur and arthritis in my neck...which I knew about. Not much I can do there....just what I have always done....advil and the PT when needed. He said I could have PT for my shoulder but I am going to wait and see if this shot helps for a while at least and then I will get it if I still need to.

Just got a call from my new nail place that they had a cancellation tomorrow at noon......I have one scheduled in a couple weeks but would love to get in there earlier so that they look good for the weekend. I am so vain

Went shopping yesterday and couldn't find a thing! I was really frustrated. I did get a new pillow. I found that the ones that have the gusseted side work better for my neck and the one I had was getting flat......got a new one and all I did all night was toss and turn! AAAAGGGHHHH new pillows!

Well, need to catch up from having yesterday off.....more later.

Good Morning,

Brenda the last time I ate LC ice cream, I forget the brand but it was mint chocolate chip, I had wicked gas for 3 days, I blew up like a freakin balloon and I swore I would not buy that crap again, I think it was carbsense brand?? anyway, I felt aweful for days so I would say no matter how you think your body is used to those sugar alcohols, its not, one day that stuff will creap up on you and poof! The only ice cream that does not kill my insides is Silloutte Skinny Carb bars, they have vanilla caramel and pnutbutter chocolate. I'm safe w/them and they are portioned out. Feel better.

Jane, my Leo pal, I know exactly how you feel, I have spurs on my spine and arthritis, along with deteorating disc disease, not fun I can assure you. They want to put cortizone shots in my back but UT HUH!! I'll stand the pain for as long as I can. My theory is once they start messing with you, its not a good thing. Hope your feeling better and you get some relief from motrin or tylenol.

Hi Rachael, a new bike, how cool, enjoy !!!

Nothing much new here, going at 12 to get my hair done :D :D

Have a good day everyone.
HUGS

Jane: I hope that your shoulder gets better now that you were brave enough to take the shot. I too went shopping last night, but I just didn’t feel like trying anything on. It seems that my taste in clothing and what is available have gone different direction, LOL. And about Esplanade, I have gone a few times, not recently though; actually one summer when we were in college a friend of mine showed up there at 5 am and got us a place right in front, then about 20 of us showed up there in the afternoon. We had so much fun. But I don’t think I will go this year, I still get very panicky in crowded places.

Good Morning Ladies:

Brenda: Hope you feel better soon! Have fun camping this weekend. I used to love camping out, but haven't done it in years. I am sure you are gonna do great on Tuesday!! You'll beat that 3 day record I am sure!

Rachel: Good Luck bike shopping! Only one more day til Friday...hope you have a great day!

Jane: Glad your shoulder is starting to feel better! Hope you get those nails lookin great for the weekend!

Well, not much planned here today except laundry, laundry, and more laundry! Plus cleaning the rest of the house! Did anyone see that article on the main page about high-protein and getting pregnant? Says that plans like Atkins may make it harder to conceive! Well i guess I am proff that that is incorrect  We have used not type of Birth Control for about 3 years, and nothing. I go on Atkins, and 4 months later BOOM I'm pregnant. Oh well, guess that study is either wrong or I am just different  Well, think I am gonna get started on some laundry, I will check back in later! Hope everyone has a great day!

Lisa

Rachel: I can appreciate that....I used to not like to be in a big crowd. I would love to be in a boat though on the Charles some time...that would be cool! Don't think you can hear the orchestra though can you?
Of course how many times can one do the Can-Can to the 1812 Oveture!

Mrs H 07-01-2004 09:52 AM

Lennie:  You snuck in on me. Hope you have a great day!

jane8760 07-01-2004 09:53 AM

Mrs. H: You know what is funny....you are not the first to say that. There was someone else on this site...can't remember who....who saw an article like that and said that she was having trouble getting pregnant and then once she was on Atkins!!!! BAM! Too funny.

StarPrincess 07-01-2004 10:08 AM

Good morning, lovelies!

Brenda - why wait until it's gone? Just throw it out! One the rare occasions that I have ice cream, I buy it in bar or sandwich form - that way my servings are definitely controlled. My latest trick is to buy a box of bars/sandwiches and leave them at my mother's house. I only get over there about twice a month. Perfect! ;)

Rachel - I keep thinking it should be Friday by now, too! Happy bike shopping!

Jane - I'm glad you got that shoulder taken care of! And I want to go shopping so bad! But my contract ends in 4 weeks and I don't know how long it will take to find another job after that, so I'm in saving mode. :p

Leenie - Happy hair-stylin'

Mrs. H - That's funny about the article. And you reminded me - HEY EVERYONE! KIM IN NJ IS PREGNANT! (I am NOT drinking the water around here)

As for me, I'm tired! I spent all evening washing, waxing, and cleaning out the inside of my car. That's a lot of work, but it's so pretty now! Very princess worthy ;)

I've got no big plans for the weekend except for a BBQ on Sunday which will most likely mean nursing a hangover on Monday. Gotta love that! We're going camping with a group of friends next weekend after the 4th of July crowd is gone. DH has never been camping so it should be funny (as long as we can keep the drama-starters under control).

Have a great day everyone!

jane8760 07-01-2004 10:14 AM

Good morning Star: Sorry you are going to be out looking for another postion soon....it is tough out here in New England...hope it's better where you are. Are contract positions easy to get?

Theo'sgirl 07-01-2004 10:23 AM

HI ladies just stopping by to say HI, cause I am late, ooooooo I am sluggish and feel like I have a hangover, we had a party at work yesterday and I ate way to many carbs and now my payback is to feel like Cr*p. MY bad! I can't wait to get off work and go to the gym and burn off some of this yuck! Blech....I was in a waaaaaaay to much of a celebratory mood yesterday I guess. :(

I will try to check back later, Happy Thursday!

Good Morning!

Brenda - Throw out the Ice Cream, it doesn't make you feel very well anyways.

Star - Don't you hate job hunting? It's the worse. Are jobs hard to find where you're at?

Jane - Hope that shoulder get to feeling better for you.

Lisa - I too will be doing laundry wneh I get off work today

Rachel - Happy bike shopping

TG -

Went out last night and got totally lit. Paying for it today :headache: Tummy is okay, but my heads a little foggy! I should know better but friends kept showing up and it would have been rude to leave. I'll just keep telling myself that.

Another busy day at work. Have a good day

StarPrincess 07-01-2004 11:17 AM

Finding jobs around here is.........interesting. The problem is that I spent years as an administrative assistant, but I honestly think I'll slit my wrists if I have to go back to that. I'm hoping to get into something more along the lines of project coordinator or program manager. The challenge would be good for me, but it's hard when my competition is more experienced.

In the meantime, the place I'm working at now is fighting to get me hired, but who knows? Finance isn't terribly cooperative.

So, I'm applying for office jobs, which I'm likely to get if they can afford me. And I applied for a job as a crime scene tech (my dream). So we'll see what happens. I may suddenly find myself with a lot more time for exercise ;)

LOVE2C135 07-01-2004 11:20 AM

Good morning all! Another busy day here. I think it will be for a while. I managed another day OP yesterday and today I was back to my weight pre-vacation. Thanks goodness! NOW I'm feeling the motivation coming back. I think part of my problem was losing what I had already lost. Yuck. Oh well, now my signature stats are no longer a lie!

Hey Jane - did you say you take Zyrtek? Does is make you sleepy? I've been taking it at night for my allergies and the mornings are just a bear. I haven't been to work on time once this week. Yikes. Good thing I'm salaried!

Have a great day you guys!
